I bought these paints for use with the Melissa & Doug Deluxe Standing Easel & Companion Supply Set Bundle. They work just fine with the Melissa and Doug paper rolls, and my only criticism is that these little bottles don't last very long, or are at least not the ideal choice for a toddler who is using big brushes. Each little container might last at most three painting sessions, depending on if you use the paint "full strength" or watered down, and how much you pour into the plastic containers. Unless your child is using smaller brushes or you are unconcerned with how long the little bottles will last, I would recommend purchasing the much larger Blue Poster Paint Bottle and the other colors. Melissa & Doug Jumbo Paint Brushes (set of 4)

We gave my daughter these brushes to go along with her easel and paint for her third birthday. She can grip them well with her little hands and even paints with one in each hand sometimes. They are just right for a young child and seem to be good quality. Every once in a while when I'm cleaning the paint out, a bristle comes out, but it's not too often.

I'd recommend these to anyone looking for paint brushes for a child under the age of 5.

Melissa and Doug Magnetic Chalk/Dry Erase Board

1. I thought it is a good educational toys, but unfortunately my daughter does not have much interest in it.
So if you want your kids to learn to draw on a white board, better directly go to a large easel board intead of a tiny one.
2. the letters do not hold on the white board anymore after a couple of months. I guess the magnet wear out?
The colorful letter do look cute. I hope later I could use those letters in other way to teach her to spell it.

Crayola 3-D Activity Kit Underwater Adventure

Per my 7 year old grandson, this is OK for the stencils and chalk but it is not 3-D and he is very disappointed in it. I will not try anything that is advertised the way this was. I couldn't find it at the store so had to pay alot more for it this way. It was not worth the hype from Crayola and they should be ashamed of it.

I bought this plastic scissor set for my 25 month old to start her out on cutting paper. The straight edged pair (blue ones) were so easy to use and it cuts clean lines. The only problem is the zig-zag pair ( red ones), the blades stick together and that makes it extremely difficult for me to cut with let alone my daughter, but it does cut pretty lines once you get it to work!

I bought this for a Christmas and was very diappointed. It loked very cheap and I thought it would be better. Not a big fan of Melissa and Doug. They seem to be over-priced and you can get simlar items for less money with the same quality or better.

Wooden Art & Craft Supplies Set

I bought two of these for my nieces ages 11 and 9. They are having so much fun with it. The wooden carrying box is a hit. When they opened thier gifts at the party several children wanted one and asked where they were purchased.

Crayola 30ct Twistables Colored Pencils

Although this is a reasonably good idea, in my book it sits right alongside the electric can opener and electric pepper mill in terms of necessity. If you think about it, Crayola took a regular color pencil which is pretty ecologically neutral (wood, graphite, pigment, etc) and made a plastic version of it that is not refillable nor recyclable. When the lead breaks inside--and it does--the Twistable is basically useless. The only problem I see it solving is when your kid presses too hard and breaks the point, she can twist the end herself, extend the point and keep drawing without having to bother you.
