Deluxe Spirograph

I have wanted a spirograph for a while. I remember the old ones I had as a kid and they were great. This one, however, is made very cheaply. None of the circle pieces stay in the cut outs, so you can't get a good shape. They slip all around while trying to rotate them. I would not recommend this product.

My 2-yr-old son seems to like it. It's smaller than the MagnaDoodle I grew up with, but it's big enough to keep my son happy. Now he can draw on his DoodlePro instead of on the furniture.

This pack contains a variety of vibrant colors not typically available in stores. Bought it last Xmas and still have several unopened containers though my daughter loves mixing the different colors together to create psychedelic shapes and snakes.

my kids beg to play with this toy. It can be a bit messy and time consuming to keep it clean ( you have to wipe the paint off the sides often) but they love it!! It's as sturdy as a $20 toy can be.

Alex Knot A Scarf Fleece Scarf Making Kit

I bought this gift for two 10-year old girls. Their first reaction when they opened the box was "COOL!" It was an immediate hit! They each went to work making their scarves and at the end they wore them all night.

The colors were great, the kit was easy to use, the fabric is durable (this is not something that will fall apart after one use) and the end result is a really nice and unique scarf.

This book has excellent and very easy to follow lessons in each of the Elements of Art. All pages are color and there is an illustration of each lesson. I have already used a few of the ideas with my art students (I teach elementary art K-6.) I would recommend this book to any art teacher, teacher or parent who is interested in art education.

Crayons! Crayons are great when you get one of those creative urges and just need to draw. Crayons aren't nearly as messy as markers, and they don't need to be sharpened as often as colored pencils. The best part about crayons, though, is that if you don't have a sharpener you can just peel the paper off and keep drawing.

This Crayola set has always been my personal favorite. 64 classic colors including your basics (red, blue, yellow, etc) AND your favorites (macaroni and cheese, tickle-me-pink, etc). As if getting the crayons isn't enough, they throw in a courtesy sharpener on the back of the box. This sharpener is really handy when you're focused on your current work of art and don't have time to get up and walk to a stationary sharpener.
