I purchased this book because I like the idea of having a place for the class pictures as well bigger pockets. I received the book and was disappointed in the high school years sharing 2 pages and 1 pocket. I had a book like growing up and that's where all my report cards and awards are. If I had only one pocket for all 4 high school years all of that wouldn't have fit. Again - it's a nice book just a little disappointed in the lack of space for high school years.

I teach a science class in after-school program at a local elementary school, through a neighborhood non-profit. They got a box of samples of Crayola's "new and exciting" products/toys and handed them out to us in case we would find any off the stuff useful for our classes. I was planning to do something on how diffusion and dissolution work, and this seemed liked a good thing to start with. I almost went out and bought a couple packs- the sample only had two small 2x5" pieces and I have a class of 10 kids- but thought better of it and tried it out first. As far as I can tell, it's just a colorful piece of tagboard covered with some water-soluble black coating. The "magic pen's" ink seems to be composed solely of water. I figured it'd be some other ... Read More:

We fell in love with this game. I chose it because of its similarity to Taboo, but now, instead of being hung up on not using the words on the Taboo list, you have to be mindful of the amount of words you use to describe the words on your list. The name of the game is 25 Words or Less, in which you have to describe the five words on your card in 25 words or less. But, there is a twist. There is a bidding process in which two people look at the card and bid against each other to see who can describe the five words using less words. For example: The list contains the words: Lion, Tree, House, Balance Beam, & Courage. Two opposing clue givers will look at the list and proceed to bid. Person A bids 25, Person B bids 24, Person A bids 23, and so on until ... Read More:
I got this pottery wheel for my daughter for Christmas. I have a real pottery wheel and she wanted her own so she could do pottery with me. Being used to a real wheel, I had fairly low expectations for this toy, but my daughter was so excited about it I went ahead and got it anyway. Even with low expectations I was a bit disappointed in the product.
The wheel is very cute, but a flimsy (and loud). There is a covered slot on the tray. I'm not sure what it's for, but it keeps coming off. The wheel head is made out of orange plastic and slips over a hexagonal metal shaft attached to the motor. After using the wheel only one time, the plastic that slips over the metal shaft is already starting so show signs that it might crack.

I purchased this book to help me see a better way to really implement differentiated instruction into my classroom. It was of great help in giving me real examples and ideas to putting differentiation into action!!! =)

I bought this kit for my cousin's sons while she was recuperating from surgery. It was a fun time for them -- they loved the stickers and decorating the planes too. In fact, they named each one. It was nice to be able to share some old time fun with this generation of gamers.
Highly recommend this economical gift that will get your kids thinking (and the parents playing, too)

I bought this for my nephew. Just after we opened it, he and I went to a side room and practiced the first trick. It took like three minutes. It was a very simple trick, but it confused a number of people in the room who immediately wanted to know how he did it. He followed the rules and wouldn't tell them.
Several objects and tricks are included. Enough to give a child (that's willing to practice) several impressive routines.

We live abroad and so our kids' English isn't up to the level of their peers in the States. We'll be moving back to the States this coming year though and I wanted to be able to see where exactly my kids stood vis-a-vis their English skills, so I could then work on the areas they needed help in. I bought the reading and writing books in this series from grades 1-4. The books are not only an excellent tool in tracking where your child needs extra help or where his strengths lie - they are also loads of fun for the kids. With these books and some extra effort on the kids' part, I feel confident that we can get them at or near the appropriate level for their age by the time we move. No more guessing about what material to cover or whether particular texts are too ... Read More:

We have 3 and 4 year old boys who really enjoy this play-doh set. I like that there isn't a 'right' or 'wrong' creation - the boys can just let their imaginations run wild while getting getting a little work on their fine motor skills! We also love the play-doh EZ2Do Silly Friends!

I purchased these artist's smocks for three 4yr olds as a Christmas present. I was pleased with the purchase and the ability to personalize the smock. They came quickly and I was able to ship them with the other gifts for the family. Don't actually know yet how they perform but they look sturdy.
