I have read the bad reviews and am surprised. We just gave this mixstick to our 5 year old son for Christmas and he LOVES it!! I find myself using it too when I am cleaning upstairs!! I have the ipod nano and the bose dock and find this Mix Stick to be wonderful for what you pay for it. I love it!!

I bought this player for my daughter. She absolutely loves it. She just turned 4 and knows how to operate it will no help from me. It has been dropped a few times and so far is very durable. She did not like the headphones that came with it, but I had her headphones leftover from the Fisher Price MP3 player that she had before.
I highly recommend this player.

I bought this for my grandaughter, I live in Australia and it is much easier to order presents on line for my family in USA. My grandaughter loves music and now she can play her own music, she loves it.

I purchased this recorder for my 2 year old son (and he needed something that could stand up to him putting it through the wringer!!!) It was perfect!!! He uses it to record songs he sings to play back to me when he thinks I don't feel good, he records himself mimmicking his father's voice and reprimands his brother. He then plays it back to my 11 year old's closed door. He drags it out in the yard and records the dog barking at squirrels. He then plays back his recording to scare the squirrels and, if they don't run from the sound, he throws the recorder at them.
