TruTech® 1GB MP3 Player - SMP-1GBL

First the good:
- Easy to use. I knew nothing about MP3 players before getting this one. It works as easily as a jump drive.
- Durable. I dropped the thing really hard on the pavement. Other than being all scratched up, it works fine.
- Light and small. It's easy to put the thing into my pocket when I go for a long walk or do housework.
- Cheap. It's a good first MP3 player if you don't want to jump right into the iPod or Zune.

Now the bad:
- Uses AAA batteries and sucks the power out of 'em. I use rechargeable Eneloop batteries (the best there are from what I understand), and I get about an hour of juice max.
- Very slow fast-forwarding. If I'm listening to a 1.5 hour audio book and it cuts out ... Read More:

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter and surprisingly, it has been alot of fun for the adults in our family too. The quality of the picture could be a little bit better but it is still good enough to see our facial expressions and to be silly on TV!! Even cooler is that you can record your crazy singing on the VCR or DVR! It's very cool and the more you play with it the more fun it becomes! I highly recommend the later ROMS that were introduced for it - which are songs that little kids would like more look for Kidz Bop Sing Along Favorites and Animal Favorites. My daugther really got into this toy more when we had these "kiddie" songs for her to listen to. Since she doesn't listen to pop music the other Rom Packs weren't quite interesting ... Read More:

I got mine at Target also, I mean, you can't beat that, at 10 dollars, I was so stoked I was going to grab another one but some lady who most likely owns a stand at some swap meet bought the rest of them, I was pissed, she probably went and sold them for more or the real price. Anyways, the only gripe I have about the MP3 player is that sometimes when loading songs it will either rename the song with the exact name of some other one, or when using the sync with WMP it is a pain in the butt trying to create a play list, I mean, why can't it just allow us to drag and drop?!! But as for sound, I can't complain, it has the the different EQ settings that are to my liking.

The wheel base is tiny and the tolerance on the plastic parts are so poor that the car can't be alight and won't even drive straight. FWD/Backward/Left/Right controls are on-off switches so turning is impossible and entirely uncontrollable. I've owned $[...] mini-helicopters that are easier to control.

If you love being disappointed buy this car.
