Park & Sun BM-TS Badminton Tournament Set

I was looking to replace an old badminton set and finally decided on this one. Well, the first game out of the box, the head came loose on one of the rackets, rendering it useless. I can probably glue it, but that's not the point. Then the birdie got stuck in two of the other rackets, when you hit it very hard. What a waste of money! This isn't a cheap, $25 buck set, so I definitely expected more! I'm not sure what to do next, but I think I'll buy rackets separately and not go for the set. Who needs multiple nets just to get some rackets that aren't junk?

Franklin 3213 Ring Toss Set

This is a cute product, it's pretty fun, but there are only 4 rings so kids are constantly having to retrieve and throw again. This is standard for adult versions of a ring toss, but for kids it would make sense to allow them a few more errors.

I purchased this for my 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter. My son is not enjoying it as much as I'd hoped.

Franklin Croquet/Bocce Set

This is a cute product, it's pretty fun, but there are only 4 rings so kids are constantly having to retrieve and throw again. This is standard for adult versions of a ring toss, but for kids it would make sense to allow them a few more errors.

We bought one of these about five years ago through Hammerer Schlemmer. It is very well made and stands up to years of use. It takes a while to set it up perhaps an hour or so and you must follow directions very closely. The metal frame does not rust after being left out in the weather year round. The fabric only started to rip after the fifth year of constant use and being left in full sun. Kids love it and grownups up to about 200 lbs.

The down side... kids will be kids. No matter how hard you try to only have one kid at a time on it as soon as your back is turned four or five kids are jumping on it. This is a great game for everyone. Especially good for younger people since they can spell "shorter" words and still win the game. Great positive reinforcement for spelling and reading.
I do like the original game better- the tiles are bigger. I think the newer version is not as well made and I don't like the smaller tiles. And where is the bag for the letters?? I bought a newer version because I wanted to leave a game at my mountain cabin where we have no TV and play games at night. I'm going to look for a version of the game where the game pieces are larger and better made. The game is still worth buying and playing with kids and adults. 1000 Feet Walkie Talkies

I guess you get what you pay for. We got these for $10 at Toys R Us. They don't work. You have to be really close together (10 yrds or so) which defeats the purpose and even then they don't always transmit. Waste of time and gas to buy and return. Don't bother.

This plane provides hours of fun for children AND adults. The plane is a glider--and is more durable than the old balsa wood glider planes we used to fly when we were kids. The plane seems to fly best in a SLIGHT wind, and should be flown in a field that is unobstructed by houses, trees, etc. I have witnessed many elegant flight paths, including several circular descents that even returned the plane to my feet! The biggest challenge is learning how to operate the Srato-Launcher's preset launching angle--the button will not release unless the handle is kept at a 65% angle.
