Like most lego products, it's more for posing than for action battles. My son really enjoyed putting it together. Not meant to be durable, but not cheap at all. Good for developing instruction-reading and building skills.

I played with legos when I was young and now I have 4 boys who love them. Even the teenagers who come over can't resist sitting down and creating when the 'lego bucket' is out. My 15 year old saved up his money to buy this set and wasn't disappointed. I had to leave the day free on the day they arrived because he didn't want to do anything but play with these. They start out as the original creation but over time they are taken apart and new creations are made.

The product was exactly as advertised. I thought the shipping was incredably high. I had no choice because of a time element but, to order and pay the shipping. Because of that I will not order anything else through Amazon.

We got my son the Lego Mars Mission Base for his 8th birthday. First the positives. He thinks it's cool to look at and it became the centerpiece of a major Mars battle involving all kinds of other Lego constructions. Overall, it is typical of any Lego set you ever got or will get, though Lego does seem to be moving toward exaggerated packaging. There are two real negatives with this set: 1) The pumping action is very weak. The missiles are hard to launch and the whole pneumatic tube system is ineffective and frustrating to use. 2)What's with the story here? Lego explorers go to a populated planet, start harvesting minerals and go to war when the locals resist. Not only that, the explorers use the locals for experimentation and haul them around as cargo. ... Read More:

ZOOB 125-Piece Set

After seeing how much my son enjoyed Zoobs at his preschool, we purchased some for home. I admit that my husband and I were just as into creating with these things as our five year old. Also, it comes with 5 levels of Zoob directions (each level adds Zoob pieces so they become progressively more challenging), so you have many options for creating with this toy. Our son really loves them and it keeps him very occupied. My only complaint is that eventually, some of the end pieces will get broken as they are snapped together, pulled apart and generally used to "pieces" (I know this from using the toys in my own preschool classroom), but that will be down the road and hopefully have only one child (or even a few children) will significantly reduce the wear ... Magformers Magnetic Building Set of 30

We leave our magformers out in the living room where it is enjoyed by visitors from ages 2 to 70. Originally we purchased one set, but soon decided to get another because our friends, our adult children, and our grandkids enjoy it so much. The pieces are sturdy and safe for young kids. People enjoy manipulating them alone or in groups. It is a versatile and enjoyable toy.
