My son (four years old) got these for his birthday and he absolutely loves them! He has several sets now and plays with them on a daily basis. He uses his imagination and creates such wonderful "creatures" and "things" - - I love to watch the excitement in his eyes when he has created something new and he is coming to me to show it off! My daughter is six and she also loves K'nex - - they are a great toy for them to play with together. We would recommend K'nex to everyone!

My son loves to build all kinds of things with K'nex. They are easy to manipulate and they are only limited by their own creativity and imaginations. I would say these are better than legos.

Alphabet Blocks

I bought this at Target for my 11 month old, and she thinks these blocks are okay. She doesn't really play with them much. She will throw them, but that's about it. She doesn't care for what's inside. Not worth almost $30.

These blocks are perfect for creative building, as they are not restrictive like lego, because of their design you can attach them to each other however you want. They are much stick together easily, making them good for little hands.
This collection comes in a great storage case, and includes many different pieces, including people and wheels.
Excellent toy for many ages, highly recommended!

K'NEX Collector's Edition Lincoln Logs Wooden Case

i actually got it on an amazon sale for $20 w/free shipping.
it's really the same as the regular ones but the case weighs about 15 pounds and the logs are a different color so they dont really match the regular ones. There's even a warning on it that because they are stained the color may rub off... I think that all of the logs from all sets are all wood, but the newer sets have plastic pieces for the roof while this collectors set has a wooden roof.

Revell Big Scale Visible V-8 Engine

Good product, a little more time consuming than previously thought. Need to get epoxy cement instead of regular model cement. A lot of fun though and a really good learning experience. A great way to learn how engines work.

I played with legos when I was young and now I have 4 boys who love them. Even the teenagers who come over can't resist sitting down and creating when the 'lego bucket' is out. My 15 year old saved up his money to buy this set and wasn't disappointed. I had to leave the day free on the day they arrived because he didn't want to do anything but play with these. They start out as the original creation but over time they are taken apart and new creations are made.

It's nice to buy your kid a toy that you're pleased to look at on the shelf, or marvel at as you trip over it on the floor. This brand (Automoblox) is not only incredibly stylish, but smooth, nice wood & plastic with excellent grippy wheels. My 2-year-old has already mastered taking the X9X apart & putting the pieces back together so it provides a bit of educational value in dexterity and fitting the puzzle-like shape pieces together. If we acquire more of these vehicles, the parts can be swapped to create new hybrids. Note of warning: if your tot is still into putting everything into the mouth you'll want to hide the 4 small passengers that come with the car, they're choking hazard size. Jenga and old school Donkey Kong. Two things you wouldn't necessarily associate with one another, but they go together perfectly!

The game comes with your regular, wooden Jenga blocks, but each is dyed black with red scaffolding painted on either side and holes drilled in each end. You can play standard Jenga with this set, or play with the DK rules. Each player is given a colored Mario player piece, and the wheel is spun to decide how many pieces must be removed, and how many scaffolds Mario may climb on that turn. Pieces are moved to the top of the stack, making it harder and harder to reach Daisy with every turn. The first player to reach the top wins, or the highest player on the tower before it falls.
