LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT-G Programming Guide (Technology in Action)

I was hoping to learn more about NXT-G. I didn't. There is nothing in this book that is not in the online help files that come with the software. There are a number of errors. The X/Y coordinate system on page 188 in wrong, half of the time in the discussion of the logic block he calls it the compare block. It expected much more from this book. In the discussion of the logic block he shows how to evaluate 2 things. That is very simple and covered in the on-line notes. He doesn't explain how to compare 3 things or 4 things. This is actually tricky to figure out. I did but an example in the book would have saved me a lot of time. As you know my now, telling the bot to turn 90 degrees will not turn the bot 90 degrees. Automoblox T9 Truck - Green

The automoblox cars are expensive, but worth the expense. I gave one to my 4-year-old grandson, and he loves it; he spends a lot of time taking it apart and putting it back together; he plays with the people and makes up stories about the people in the car. His 2-year-old brother also fell in love with this car, so I bought him an automoblox truck. Another great hit. He loves to take off the wheels and put them back on. He also loves to put the truck back inside the molded plastic container, and to fit that back into the box, which is now the "garage."
This is a simple toy, very well made, which encourages a child to do a lot of imaginative play.

Skeleton Prison Carriage

My eight year old son wanted this lego set so bad! He had it built
within 45 minutes and played with it for hours. He loves the Lego
people that are included, especially the skeletons! He also
loves the chains that connect the carriage to the cool skeleton horses.
He has had a lot of fun creating exciting battles and adventures and
has become an excellent Lego Builder who takes pride in his creations.

Erector Super Construction Set, 643 Pieces

Contrary to other reviews I've read, I am totally satisfied with this product. Even though it is not of the quality of older sets (what is today) it still entertains and trains young minds.

The set was received on time in perfect condition. Because of some of the reviews we had read concerning missing parts, we inventoried the contents and found everything as listed in the manual.

We anticipate many years of enjoyment as we enjoy our grandchildren getting the same enjoyment we received many many years ago.

Ferrari FXX 1:17

I've always wanted a Lego Ferrari model, and decided to get this one over the regular Ferrari Enzo. They both look similar, but I think the race version looks gutsier. I don't know if the regular Enzo has them, but this model does have air jacks, which makes it look even nicer when displaying. There really isn't very much play value, but it is fun to just flip the doors open, operate the air jacks, and open the engine bay and trunk at the front of the car. The level of details (suspension setup, engine air intakes, etc.) for a Lego model is quite high, which pleasantly surprised me. I was kind of disappointed by the fact that the box art shows red wheel stripes (a la "Time Attack" wheels) but the actual wheels don't come with them. Maybe it was just ... Read More:

Giant Building Block 40-piece Set

These are great blocks, sturdy for their size and easy to put together. Our grandson is only one, and just enjoyed knocking them over, but we expect lots of fun with them the next few years.

Because there are so many smaller blocks in this set, we also bought a separate set of 16 large (red) blocks. This provided plenty to build a rather large structure, and even the adults enjoyed building with them.
