On each block a 3" long and 1 1/2" tall section of the brick-like design is disrupted by a the following advertisement.
"Comments? [...]
Mellisa & Doug"

This is way over the top and frankly visually obtrusive. I hope others don't purchase this item because of this intrusive advertising.

PS. It will take you about 2 hours to assemble the 40 blocks in the package.

I had never bought an actual set to build before. We have a ton of legos that we just bought in buckets. This toy is the best! The instructions were so easy my 10 year old built it herself. The prison cells have little toilets and there is a water cooler in an office. All those little extras that make you go "COOL!".

This toy serves an educational purpose through fun! I've been telling everyone about it. My neice loves this toy. It's safe for baby, durable, and has limitless creative possibilities. It's like legos, but it's perfect for children who are too young to play with tiny lego pieces. However, the pieces are small enough to easily travel. Also, the price won't break the bank! I strongly recommend this product.

My 2 year old received this over a year ago. In the beginning, it got lost under the electronic, attention-grabbing toys. However, it later emerged and he became facinated with matching the shapes to the holes. He has now learned that there are many alternate options (e.g. two trianges can make a square, two squares can make a rectangle, etc.). He and his little sister also like to stack the pieces to make sandwiches! Although this is not their most sophisticated or exciting toy, it is one of few that consistently holds their interest.

My 4 yr old had gotten this for a birthday present. She just loves putting together all the different track layouts. It is so easy to snap all of the tracks together, and they are so flexible, that she tries to drape the tracks down the front of the couch. It comes with 2 hard SUV cars.
CONS: The only issue we had with the cars, is there are small round rubber treads that go over each of the wheels. These tend to come off, and if stretched out the cars won't really work on the tracks. When calling the company they said they will send more rubber treads out to me, so it must be an issue with these. Because they can come off pretty easy, I would watch with smaller kids around who may put these into their mouths.

Hours of play. Only took my 4 year old a short time to figure out how to look at the diagram & make them. Pieces are larger so they can easily fit them together, builds confidence that he can make these intricate creations. Excellent toy.

I bought this for my son for his 4th birthday. He had not had any legos prior (besides another set he got for his birthday). I showed him where the directions were and told him I would help him "in a minute". In about 10 minutes, he had the thing built all by himself. He only needed my help for the lights. He loves playing with them. Even though expensive for the size, it was well worth it. :)

Imagability Wedgits To Go 35 Piece Set

Got this for 4 year old female, on her 3rd birthday got her a 30 piece wedgit set. I asked her 2 months ago what she wanted for her 4th birthday, she said "more wedgits", so I got her this travel case set. She plays with them all the time and her dad loves them too. Wedgits are fun and interesting for all ages. Thank you!

LEGO 15 x 15-inch Building Plate

I bought this building plate for my granddaughter knowing its very serious limits. It is not rigid enough to support any Lego project unless it is placed on a flat hard surface. After it arrived I immediately glued it to a 15 x 15 inch board to make it usable. Why would Lego produce such a chintzy product?
