My daughter has Asperger's and this toy was recommended by her therapist to help with her visual/spatial development. At first, she found the game frustrating, but once she figured out some strategies, she started enjoying the challenge of matching up the colors on the cube with the square-up board. I often find her playing with it on her own. She is delighted when she solves the puzzle!

Fluxx is a fun game that helps players develop dynamic strategies. Zombie Fluxx takes that same whacky structure and adds a bit of entropy to it in the form of "zombies".

The same whimsical humor is present in this version of Fluxx, but with a sardonic twist. With cards themed after famous Zombie movie subplots, there's more complexity and challenge here than with the original Fluxx. But the key idea (that the rules and the winning conditions change with each turn) is still at the heart of this amusing variation of the original.

I got this game because I work with kids at latchkey and summer camp. Plus I'm going to be a teacher, so I thought it would be fun for the kids. The kids love playing it! Little do they know that it is educational (visual spatial). They try to beat me, which usually isn't going to happen, but they love it anyway.

This is the only hand held double double bonus poker machine we have been able to find. I find the larger size bulky and prefer the smaller color version, however my husband, who plays this game every day likes the larger keys and says it is easier to play than the color version. We both wish they made a color version in this size. Black and white display makes it harder to see flushes.

Pokemon Holiday Collector's Tin Set of 3

My 10 year old son is a pokemon nut. This collector tin had a great price, offered cool "tins" and had 3 awesome cards plus several more cards to make a great collection. This plus other Pokemon card games has encouraged him to learn more math (hit points and levels). He has had to read more and memorize plus learns science and geography. Some of these may be fictional but it helps open doors to understanding and learning.
Excellent decks and sharp cards and containers.

A PLUS: The company that sent the order was very fast and shipped on the same day. We received our order 4 days earlier than expected.

On one hand, yes, I could certainly come up with the general idea on my own. We still do, if we're caught somewhere without them.

However, it's the creativity and the sheer volume of these that make them irreplaceable. My 5yo has been playing for over a year now, and still begs to do so. Fact is: I'd have LONG since run out of topics off the top of my head (and likely never come up with some of the more original ones).

These were pretty disappointing. Within a few nights of play these developed a few bent cards that were distinguishable from the others in the deck. Pretty hard to use them if everyone knows what they are.

I don't know if there's a way to straighten them out, but I'm pretty dissatisfied with cards that will last "forever" that are bent.

Thomas & Friends Station Stop Matching Game

We purchased this toy for our grandson, age 2.5. He was delighted with all of the Thomas characters. He followed the directions and waited for his turn. It was a great way to show a child the rules of game playing. The game also presents an opportunity for solo play by matching all of the squares.
