We received this game as a gift for our two sons -- ages 5 and 4. Our family has played this game regularly for months now and we enjoy it.

Positives:

The game is easy for young children to learn.

The game is easy to set up.

The game is relatively fast (expect to finish a 4-player game in less than 20 minutes).

Negatives:

The cardboard boxes used to hold the "food" isn't as durable as they should be for a game intended for children. Plastic would've been better.

The game doesn't expand beyond the book.

Family Business Card Game by Mayfair Games

Family Business was the most fun ever. Okay, that's an overstatement, however I do have to say it was the most consistent fun and didn't hurt the brain. Alliances were formed and broken as players sought strong positions and attempted to weaken strong adversaries or to quickly take out the weakest. The first time I played it was - let's just say - several years ago, in high school. A friend bought it and a bunch of us gathered around and played. Even when you lost the game was fun, but look out if you won - the rematch would usually (not always) find every other player ganging up to take you out first.

Gamewright Luck of the Draw, a Game for the Artistically Challenged

This game is SO much fun!!!! It is a drawing game that does not require you to be anywhere near a good artist. How it works is, you pick one card to draw, for instance, one card we picked said "Noah's ark reject. Then, you have 1 minute to draw. All players place their drawings face down on the table. Then, the next card is picked and it may say "Looks most like it was drawn with the opposite hand". Everybody votes on which drawing fits that description and the drawing with the most votes wins. It is such a fun game and can get pretty silly. It is fun for ages 8 and up and is a great party game too!

National Mah Jongg League 2008 Scorecard

KEM Arrow Red and Blue Poker Size Standard Index Playing Cards

These are pretty nice cards. They feel real nice and shuffle well. But for the money they are simply not a good value.

I use Copag, Modiano, and Dal Negro plastic cards and decided to give these KEMs a try. I've never seen such bad quality control as these have. There were several cards in one deck which were badly scratched across the back rendering one deck unplayable.

I received no response from ChipandGames so I sent the deck back to USPC in Cincinnati (fingers crossed). We'll see what happens.

Long story short... don't buy KEM cards. I've used a TON of plastic cards for poker over the years and while KEM cards do have a nice feel to them (about as nice as Copag) they are simply too fragile and easily marked.
