As my family will attest, I really like strategy games. I also abhor most games of chance. If a game comes with dice, I'm immediately leery.

Caylus does not have dice, which made a good first impression for me. It did, however, take us about 2 hours to learn. After the first game, I was skeptical about how strategic it was, but I played it a couple of more times against experienced players--and I got clobbered! While this appears to be an ironic endorsement of the game, it revealed to me that there was much more strategy involved than I initially thought.

Purple Translucent 7-piece Dice Set

These are perfect dice for my preference. They have nice sharp edges as opposed to round-edged dice that roll oddly. The numbers are easy to read with white on purple, the color/translucency is likable, and the price is great for a basic set of die. The reason for the Four Stars is because the white numbers seem like they are slightly fading after some use, or perhaps some numbers just came that way.

Bicycle Po-Ke-No Board Game

i love this game...it is a lot of fun and has a lot of strategy involved. my only complaint is that a three player game can be very boring if the three people aren't overly aggressive. There just seems to be too much map for three people. But, other than that, I would highly recommend this game to anyone.

Alibi

I got this for a friend of mine's birthday. It's easy to learn and although similar to Clue, Alibi is a LOT more fun. Good game for adults, probably also older kids & teenagers. If you like puzzle/card hybrid games buy this one!
