Well, like the other reviewer, I thought this was The Settlers of Catan, not the Settlers of Canaan. Sigh. That really annoys the tar out of me. I might try giving it away to my sister, who is a youth pastor, or I'll return it otherwise.

I find it somewhat dishonest to have something named so similarly, but that's probably because I fell for it. The original game is a classic, and I have no interest in a "re-imagined" version.

I completely concur with the gentleman above's review - it's very accurate.

I have been playing this game off and on for four years now - and it, too, was one of the earlier games I "discovered" as an adult. The others in this "series" (similar styles), such as Mexica, are also fun, but having played all of them, this is still my favorite.

There are multiple approaches to winning, and you can cooperate, screw your opponents, get lucky digging for treasure or use pure military-style strategy in attempting to win. All can work and all can be overcome by other combinations - keeps the game quite interesting.

If you like the board and you like the idea of a mall survival game, you should buy this item. It is good and is becoming harder to find and you'll really enjoy it. While buying some extras for my gameplaying fun I saw Mall of Horror and decided to try it out because it had a bit of complexity and showcased a wide array of things that could be done. It was on of the better pick-ups I've had in the last few years. Like many people I need newer things from my board games because I feel like games omit potential players by being too predictable. Mall of Horror got aroudn this by picking up an idea and pulling it through the grinder; it took the idea of living and put it in the middle of an ocean of rules to make it situate better. Zombies!!! 2 Zombie Corps (e) 2nd Ed TLC 2012

This is a decent expansion for the game ZOMBIES!!!! Which you must have the base game ZOMBIES!!! to use this expansion.

In this add on you have a military base that adds an military lab with SUPER zombies that take 5-6 dice rolls to kill rather than the normal 4-6 and they can also move 2 spaces at the end of a turn rather than one. This set also adds the motor pool, as soon as you move past the gate on this map card you get permanent double movement till you die (You get a jeep).

But the best part about this set is the new event cards such as the rocket launcher and the land mines. They can make or break a game for you. Also the Gov zombies card makes all the zombies 5-6 to kill for a whole round for all players.

This is a game of buying and selling art at auctions. Every player is a gallerist or museum collector who has a "hand" of paintings (cards) to sell. Every turn has an auction for one or more paintings. The paintings themselves are ludicrously bad. The whole game plays like a big send-up of the contemporary art world. A "market" for a priviously unknown artist named "Lite Metal" will suddenly appear in a given "auction season". Lite metal's work may skyrocket in value that season, only to collapse in the next season, if Lite Metal has inexplicably become "so last year".
