"shut the box," or "tric-trac" to some (not to be confused with the French board game), is a fun quick play for kids and adults. For kids, it combines adding the pips on dice with combinations on the tiles. For adults, it's part strategy, part luck, and potential drinking game.

Other versions have one board and go to 9. This version has two boards back to back and 1-12 numbered tiles. This allows you to play alone, with an opponent, or just play the 1-9 "game." It's well built and should last a long time.

I bought this game last Christmas as a gift for my sister. She is 13 years old, and she loved it! She is obsessed with horses, horse games, horse toys, and horse anything. I thought this would be a good game for her, so the rest of the family and her friends could play. It turned out right.

The quality of the gameboard, cards, tokens, money, etc. is everything you would expect from any monopoly game. The quality is great and everything seems much better than other knock-off monopoly games, but you do pay for it. What's good about this game is that it features various horse breeds as game spots and all the "chance" cards are horse related, so they weren't kidding when they said "Horse Lover's Edition." Make Your Own Opoly Board Game

This turned out to be more time consuming then expected. Also, I could not tell which side of the white adhisive paper was the side to print on & it was very had to separate. I think some mention should be made that there is no money included. It can be purchased separatly. Overall, it was a hit but if I could do it over I would have done a better job. I made it & gave it as a birthday gift.

We bought this for my 8 year old, who loves animals. She loves the game, and we have had a great time playing it with her. The only difference in this, and real Monopoly is that you are buying dogs and dog houses instead of property and hotels.

Great game - my kids are 3 and 9 and BOTH can play happily! Usually they fight or are at different levels for a game, but this one works well for many ages to be able to play self-sufficiently!

Game is easy to put together and fun for all ages. My 3 and 6 yr olds really enjoy it. The only drawback is that the sticks get bent a little easily.

On a visit to an older relative, we learned to play this game. Since then, we take the game as we travel and over to friends homes and play it in small or big groups. Simple enough to be played by younger kids, and has enough finesse to have possible playing strategies for us mature players. We usually laugh a lot when we play this. Although it's not strictly educational game, it helps you to learn to add. I have a lot of great memories associated with this game already. Inexpensive, but a great value, makes a great gift for people who love to play games.

Melissa & Doug Marbles

I bought two sets of these to go with the Melissa & Dougs Chinese checkers board because the marbles that come with it are very difficult to play with because of the background on the board and the color of the marbles. I picked out 20 marbles to use with the board and then gave the boxed sets to my two grandsons and we learned to play marbles together. They enjoy having their own boxes and will use them for many things over the years. I do hope they are durable!
