My youngest daughter recently discovered the Calico Critters world and was instantly hooked. The bathroom set is as depicted, and I was surprised the detail of some of the accessories (for example the soap even has a separate soap dish).

But the pieces such as the toothbrush, shampoo, etc., are really small and are easy to lose, and could swallowed by smaller children.

The Calico Critters products are well crafted, but I fully expect many of the cool tiny pieces to get lost soon enough.

My little girl loves this toy! The only problems we've had have come from our cats (who can't seem to resist carrying around the tiny fuzzy Calico Critters!). If your child enjoys playing pretend games with toys, this is nearly perfect.

Barbie Collector Pink Label the Wizard of Oz Doll: Dorothy (2006)

My 4 yr old daughter is a big Wizard of Oz fan. This doll is really cute. The only complaint we have is that the ruby red slippers do not stay on her feet. They are attached by a flimsy clear rubber band. She got this doll on Christmas and by the end of the day, one of Dorothy's slippers was lost.

I bought 4 of these dolls, 2 in the purple outfit and 2 in the pink outfit. Out of the 4 I have, 2 of them DO say "Islam is the light" and it is very, very clear. Every 3rd phrase... Islam is the light. I bought these dolls for 2 reasons, the first being the price, $6.xx and free shipping. The other reason, I had to "hear" for myself. There is no mistake, the 2 dolls I have do say the phrase VERY clear.

My 2 yr old son loves this doll! He saw this in a store and about turned inside out wanting to hold it. We wrapped it and put it under the tree. The worst part about it was the inability to turn it off before taking it out of the package.

But since he opened it, he has been playing with it non-stop. The good parts are the weight of it, it is pretty heavy in your arms. The pacifier is attached and it stops making noises pretty soon after putting the thing in its mouth.

The bad things are the fact that you need to push on the bottle and pacifier pretty hard to get it to stop making noises. Also, without having the toy keys and bottle attached, those won't last very long in this house.

Very flimsy toy. Carefully took out of packaging but think chair could be on a stonger stand. Armoire has weak hinges. Lampshade is sticker on plastic- also a flimsy lightweight stand. There is better furniture out there - try My Scene or other Barbie furniture,skip the My House. Luce

I purchased this doll for my 18 month old daughter. Berenguer has a reputation for producing high quality, realistic baby dolls, and this doll does not disappoint. The vinyl is very soft, which makes it a little more cuddly than a plastic baby doll. There is a lot of attention to detail, and the realism helps with educating my daughter about babies and about herself. My only criticism is the scent; they overdid the "new-baby-powder-fresh" scent to the point that the aroma gives one a headache. I've had to "bathe" this baby a few times, and I'm hoping that the scent will fade with time. But she has the perfect dimensions for a baby for an 18 month-3 year old . . .
