My daughter received this as a gift and instantly fell in love with it. The saddles do not stay fastened which is frustrating. In less than 24 hours, one of the foal's legs broke and one the horse's tails came out. We returned the set to the store.

This is definitely not what I would expect from a Melissa and Doug toy.

Mattel Barbie Styling Head

I got two of these Barbie heads, for my 4 year-old and my 2 year old. The head is not like the one I remember from my youth--seems much cheaper. The hair is not really combable, and tangles and pulls out of the head. Also, the base is small, so it tips over very easily, and can be a little frustrating. Cheap clips for her hair were hard to remove from the packaging without breaking. I would try a different head than this one. Also, the price on Amazon currently is over $60.00. You can buy at Target for $20.00, and even that was too much for this less-than satisfying toy.

If you just want some extra pets for your caring corners doll house, buy this. If you think it will be fun to play with the playground, it is not! My 4 yr old gets sooooo frustrated by this toy. She can not get the pets to stay in thier baskets. They lock in with a little peg, but as soon as you try to slide them down the sliding board or pull them thru the elevator, they pop out.
