Breyer Stevie and Belle Gift Set

My 7 year old daughter is in the middle of a horse phase and really loves this set. We read the first book together while she was recuperating from a tonsillectomy. The horse set and story really entertained her. We both love the detail on the Belle's tack and Stevie's clothes. My daughter has even put saddle pads on her other horses that didn't come with them, to make them look better. We're both very pleased. My daughter would like another set, and the next book!

This adorable little baby is waiting for Christmas. She will be one of the big gifts my soon to be three year old will receive this year. The baby sounds realistic, without a canny, or annoying echo. I also liked the fact that we would not know what the baby would be or what it would look like until it arrived. She adds some diversity to the cabbage patches that my daughter has managed to collect in just 2 1/2 years.

This is a cute little plastic highchair. It is made from a strong attractive plastic, unlike a lot of other plastic toys, so it fits right in with her painted wood kitchen. It went together easily enough. I prefer it in the traditional high chair position. It's a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it still fits her baby Chou Chou and soft baby Stella. I'd recommend it for ages 4 and up.

This is a decent, rather plain, living room set for your Calico Critters. The set includes a couch, rocking chair, bookcase, and accessories, all sized for your Critter families.

My girls (age 5 & 8) play with their Critters often, but have more families than dollhouses, so I'm always looking for ways to help with the living situations. I bought this living room to set up in an old Fisher Price barn - I thought the Critters could sleep in the hayloft, and have a living room in the barn. These pieces fit the bill, because they are small (the couch measures 4 1/8 inches wide) and there are only 3 pieces of furniture - enough to fill out a room, but not overcrowd it.

My daughter received this playset for her 5th birthday. She loves it! Be warned: it's going to take a few tries to get Barbie to "catch" the puppies (her entire chest is a magnet to help with this process), but it's worth it. My girl's face lit up when she "did it!" It's a departure from most of Barbie's playset themes, so we were glad to get a little variety. The puppies, bones and trophy were also a big hit.

My almost 3 year old daughter "bought" this toy by cashing in stickers that she had earned for staying in bed. She still loves it even though it has been almost a month. However, I do agree with other reviewers that the parts are very small and become lost easily. We keep the small pieces in a ziplock bag and she is only allowed to open the bag while sitting at the kitchen table or at her play table. The parts are so small, they almost pose no choking hazard to my 13 month old. The shoes are smaller than an extra strength Tylenol! That being said, my daughter can't put the shoes or dresses on without help but absolutely loves the carrying case and probably enjoys carrying the toy around most of all!
