These dragons are 4-winged 'plasma' dragons and are considered to be very cool by our 10 year old grandson. They are considerably larger than the variety that comes in the hard shelled eggs. It can be rather of a challenge to get him put together, though, and you may need some strong hands to get the wings to snap into place. The wings are a soft, flexible sort of plastic, so I'm not sure how durable they'll be, but for now they're a big hit (he has this red one and a green one). Evidently all sizes and types of dragons 'play well with others' so it's a great addition to any dragon collector's group.
Here's McFarlane's series 5 water dragon. I like this one's design a lot, as it's more of the "stereotypical" sea serpent. He's easier to affix to his base than most of the other dragons are, he is the ONLY water dragon with a smooth, hydrodynamic body devoid of the rugged scales more common with land dragons, and he has one of the most detailed bases of any of them, complete with a sinking ship and its stranded inhabitants. The only thing I didn't like about him was that one of his wings isn't permanently attached to his body, and mine doesn't fit into the body as snugly as I would like. Still, overall a very cool model. He gets an A, only because he doesn't compare to the Hydra.

We bought this set for our son this Christmas. He really likes Lego Vikings, so we spent the day assembling the set. It took ~3 hours.
The set comes with an armored dragon, a catapult and three Vikings.
The dragon looks really good, and when you look at it you want to pick it up and play with it. It has two legs, two wings and two short, clawed arms like a T-rex. Parts of the dragon are protected with plate armor, and it also has fire coming out of its mouth. The dragon gas two chains hanging from its neck which I guess means it escaped or is about to be captured. Since the dragon can "fly", the Vikings have their work cut out for them!
The catapult can fire two boulders which crack open after hitting a solid object ... Read More:
