Winged Red Dragon w/Fire

I got this for my 4 1/2 yr old son and he has not played with it yet, but I know he will love it. The only issue maybe the tongue may break off easily depending on how rough he/she plays with it. My son has a great imagination and loves to create stories of dinasours & dragons and this will be a great hit for him. The paint and detail looks very good on this toy.

Mega Bloks Plasma Dragons -Vorgan Plasma Fortress

My 6 year old son received a similar, larger-sized Vorgan set as a gift last Christmas. First of all the container was huge for the amount of components in contained - waste of packaging materials. My son and I tried assembling this toy but became increasingly frustrated because the pieces kept coming apart. We have significant experience with putting together large PlayMobil and Lego structures - the quality of the plastic and assembly of this MEGA product does not even come close. Heaven only knows what chemicals were used to make the rubber dragon plasma or the chromed plastic pieces. It is a product made in China. Basically you get what you pay for. Playmobil Knights of Dragon Rock with Dragon

This product includes a red dragon of a new design by Playmobil, but I'm afraid it's a downgrade. The dragon's wings are very loose limiting their position to laying folded flat on the back, but since they don't stay in that position for long my son has resorted to taking them off. The first day the chalky white paint has already come off the horns, teeth and underside, causing me some concern over the quality of the paint since unlike all other Playmobil products we own this one was made in China, and I had to wash out the plastic cave when I noticed a white chemical smelling substance inside, which may have been fragments of paint or unknown residue of the manufacturing process? Rio Grande Games Carcassonne - Princess and Dragon Expansion

This is by far my favorite expansion for Carcassonne. It puts a fun little twist on the game and makes it a tad more challenging. Your meeples can be kicked off the board by the Dragon, thus taking away any rights you had to any field, or castle or road. You can block the dragon with the princess, but you can only move her certain times. Great, fun expansion.

Yu Gi Oh Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon Limited Edition Foil Trading Card

This game is a relatively new event in the life of my pre-teen son. He has two of these Dragon cards that he is very proud of. After having joined the Upper Deck Yu-Gi-Oh league, we found out how difficult this game is to play. Funny, though, he was the only under-13 year old there!!

Studying these cards and this game as a whole, has helped him focus and practice study skills in a way that he finds fun and enjoyable. So, although I am not looking forward to getting one of these for my birthday, I am more than happy to see my child exercise his imagination in a productive (and comparatively inexpensive) way.
