My daughter took good care of her aquadoodle, but after a few months of moderate use the frabric in the center (most used) portion of the board no longer responded to the pen. After repeated attempts to get a hold of customer service, they stated they only back thier product for 30 days.

Dissapointed. Seems like a great idea, but didn't hold up well to even moderate use and vigilant care for spills etc.

All the picture books on www.suesbooks.info are great bedtime reads. They are all beautifully illustrated, colorful, easy reads, and sturdy, which is important because this book will be read over and over. There is a great deal of information that is found in these books and a great deal that you can improvise and talk to them about.

We love the "That's Not My -----" series board books from Usborne. Our daughter loved turning the pages and touching all the different textures since she was 6 months old. Eventually she got bored with them so we ordered the Touchy-Feely Mermaids book when she was about 11-12 months.

Its definitely very colorful and busy. So much that she seemed overwhelmed as compared to the simpler Usborne books and didn't like it much. She is a bit older so she has some interest in it now. In our experience it didn't seem to be a fun a book for older infant/early toddlers since there is too much to see/read and less to grab/feel. There are sparkly sections but they are smaller.

Totline 1001 Rhymes & Fingerplays

As a children's librarian, who did 4-6 storytimes a week, this was one of my favorite resources for fingerplays; not because of the illustrations or charm, but because if I needed to find a rhyme about a zebra, I could look in the index and there was one (or maybe two) right there. The book was unavailable for awhile, and I was delighted to find it back in print. It is not for the average mom who wants to share rhymes with her children. There are lots better books out there for that situation; but if you need lots of rhymes about lots of subjects, this is the book you want.

I use this in my support classes for Algebra and find that the students are interested in it. It is not designed to TEACH Algebra, but provide puzzles and riddles in the context of Algebra content. A more appropriate title might be Algebra Puzzles and Corny Jokes or something of that nature.

This is really an outstanding tool for math, money, and sequential memory skills. I appreciated the fact that there are 2 differenct books included. With some coaching, my 6 year old jumped right in - the games are fun and challenging. If your kids like Sponge Bob, this is a delicious Crabby Patty with the works.
