This game has won a Teacher's Choice Award and when you see kids having fun playing and learning at the same time -- you know why. We most recently played the new upgraded Deluxe version of the game (I owned the cheaper "travel version" priced at $[...], but I highly suggest paying extra and buying the new Deluxe version priced at $[...] -- the new more expensive Deluxe game is made to last for years of play). Game of Knowledge

Our family just loves this game! It's basically Trivial Pursuit, but unlike Trivial Pursuit, anyone of any age (over 10) can play it. Since the questions are broken down into two age levels, parents and children can compete on an even playing field.

Like the T.V. game show Jeopardy, the questions usually offer hints in them. If you know the answer to the hint, you can make an educated guess to answer the "Knowledge" question. You learn from this game, while having a blast!

We gave this game to our son for Christmas last year, and have enjoyed it many times since.

A great game for family game night!

Samurai Board Game

Samurai is a very good game. It's theme is totally pasted on. I actually commented "this would be easy to retheme" during the game.

The basic gameplay proceeds thusly: A board is selected based on the number of players, and 1 of each of the three figures (High Helmets, Buddhas, and Rice Fields) is placed on the main city on the board. 6 more of each figure are placed to the side of the board, and players take turns placing them in the cities, which can accommodate 2 figures each (though the figures have to be different). Once all the cities have filled their figure allotment, the villages each receive a single figure. Then players start to place their influence tiles.

The rules of this game are vague in many places and leave you in a quandry.The referenced website in the included rules does not exist and you have to go to somewhat extraordinary lengths to find web references that lead you to places where theses ambiguities in the rules can be addressed. Although the game is interesting and fun to play, the difficulty I had in determining the rules would prevent from purchasing the game had I known beforehand the steps I would have to take.

I love fun, portable, quick games.

This one is all of the above. It's a game that's fun and easy to play. However, the instructions aren't that thorough. If I had not played a similar game in the past, I might have had more problems understanding it.

My daughter is only 10 months old but she loves the sturdy puzzle-like wooden pieces which have pleasing charactors on them. The handy wooden storage box is a nice touch. I can't wait until she is able to play the matching game...
