I got this for my boys for Christmas. Ages 5 and 7. Both were excited by the pictures on the box. It was very easy to assemble, though you need a screwdriver to put the batteries in. The little bones are tiny and thin and the tweezers are oversized and a little hard to use. I grabbed a pair from the cabinet and both had an easier time of it. Also - I suggest letting the dog run through a couple of naps. He seemed to have a hair trigger and kept jumping up at first. I shut it off and reset and it was fine.
Despite those few minor things - this is a very fun game if not overly educational. As someone else mentioned it can be startling when the dog wakes up and starts barking. I didn't find it overly loud but when your little ... Read More:

My daughter loves this game. It gets her to use different coin combinations to make a specified amount of money (e.g., 27 cents but with no quarters). Also, she loves collecting enough money to change with the bank for a dollar bill. When no one will play with her, she sometimes plays both players by herself. She's definitely become more adept at counting money just over the past two weeks since we've had the game. Highly recommended.

My nephews love this game and the adults were all fascinated with it. Everybody gets a kick out of watching the bunnies hop out of the game. It is very simple to play and moves quickly so it holds their attention. i strongly recommend it for any child just learning how to play board games and learning to count. The youngest child playing it was 5, but it could easily be played by kids a little younger.
It's also fun for the older kids, because of the strategizing. This is something that the 5 year old started to pick up on after a while. The strategy is when you get to swap a bunny with another player. Since each player is trying to get one of every color, you want to take a color you need and if possible take your opponent's only ... Read More:
This set of double 15's was the best priced that I found. With the double 15's, you can remove some sets for smaller groups (all the way to double 6's or anywhere in between) or play with the full set for large groups.
I gave it to our son for his 34th birthday & he was delighted with them. The tin is great for storing the dominoes.
My 3 year old received this for Christmas and was done in 5 minutes. Normally she will play with stuff for a long time - she also got a Disney princess colorforms book and just played with it for about an hour. While we love Fancy Nancy and have other Fancy Nancy stuff, this is just a cardboard box with a cheap little cardboard panel and 21 colorforms. Although I love creative toys like this, I was disappointed when I saw what was in this box. Maybe in the future the Fancy Nancy toy company can create a colorforms toy that has more play value.
I agree with the other reviewer, there are WAY too many cards in this game, 72 cards to be exact! That is crazy for the recommended age, 3 years and up. Instead of putting our game back on the shelf for a few years, I simply let my 4 year old daughter pick out 12 pairs of cards of her choice, and then play with that small amount (which is how I remember the original Memory game being, with about that amount of cards). She enjoys picking her favorite pairs for the game, and has really enjoyed learning to remember the hidden cards. We played four or five rounds yesterday, and she gets better at it each time. This is such an important game to have in your house, it really gets your brain rolling. Lots of fun too!
I bought two. One for my son (2 1/2) and one for his friend's 3rd birthday party. So much better than the original memory game. Children naturally notice the similarities that people have regardless of skin pigment, eye color, hair and dress. The pictures definetly lead to higher thinking level quetsions.
I could see this used in a pre-school to 1st grade classroom by partnering with a geography lesson.

I have the "Shut the Box" game and have played it over the years. If I play with someone else we must take turns handing the box back and fourth. Now with the Four Way Countdown, four of us can play at the same time. We still take turns by waiting for the other people but we get to play off of our own numbers and don't have to wait for someone to finish a whole game before they pass it on to someone else. This is great for me, my two granddaughters and the neighbor girl to all compete at the same time and get the added benefit of learning math without realizing it. This is the first time I saw this game where four could play at one time and could see the advantages right away.
I could not find this game in local stores. I was so glad to find it at Amazon. It was shipped to my grandson's home for his birthday. Great service! Thank you.
The presentation was nice when you opened the box compared to the cheap plastic oversized wanna-be jacks on the market now. HOWEVER, my set came with one jack MISSING! Do yourself a favor and go out and get a small superball because the balls included with this set does not bounce at all...
