This game is so much fun! The spin on this word game is that you can build the tiles up to create new words. It makes you think and touch your creativity. In my opinion, it is simpler and more fun than the original Scrabble.

Zombie Fluxx

Fluxx is a fun game that helps players develop dynamic strategies. Zombie Fluxx takes that same whacky structure and adds a bit of entropy to it in the form of "zombies".

The same whimsical humor is present in this version of Fluxx, but with a sardonic twist. With cards themed after famous Zombie movie subplots, there's more complexity and challenge here than with the original Fluxx. But the key idea (that the rules and the winning conditions change with each turn) is still at the heart of this amusing variation of the original.

When I first saw this game I thought it was a game by Edward Gorey. I'm surprised no one else has noticed the uncanny resemblance of the characters in this card game and Gorey's work. Some of them seem to be almost exact replicas. I think "inspired by Edward Gorey" is a bit different then copying. However this game is extremely unlifting and it can brighten anyone with a dark sense of humor's day. Get ready to giggle uncontrollably when making your character suffer indefinitely.

Wizard Card Game Deluxe

My friend introduced me to Wizard a year ago. Since then I bought a set and play it with all my family and friends. They went out and bought their own sets. My wife is a card hater and she insists on playing it at family get-togethers. It is a great and easy game.

Magic 8 Ball

I bought two Magic 8 Balls for giggle gifts-thought I'd take a chance on the lowest price ones. They came in a couple of days, brand new and ready to wrap. I'm very pleased with my purchase! (And so were my friends!) I would buy from LB Toys again.

Deluxe Turntable Scrabble

This version is being phased out for the new diamond edition. Hence the outrageous pricing online.

Cons:
The board is made of flimsy feeling plastic
Box is huge. Very hard to store if you are tight on space.


Pros:
Tiles are wood
looks nice

All in all it's scrabble a fun educational game but you could get that with any version without spending over a hundred dollars. If you feel you must get this take a serious look at the onyx version for fifty bucks. <-- if you wait for the right borders or bn coupon you can knock it down another twenty five percent.

Out of the Box Publishing 10 Days in Africa Game

I bought this game for a family birthday. We've played it over and over! To make it more challenging, have each player draw one tile (must be for a country) at random and place it in a designated location on the card holder. The player then cannot trade the card during the game and must use it in the position it was set. We've played the set card as the first card, the last card, and one of the middle cards. For older players, it's an especially good rule to increase the difficulty when playing with only 2 players. Overall we've really enjoyed this game! I bought 10 days in Asia for a friend for Christmas. Can't wait to play that one too!

Arkham Horror Boardgame

I have only just started playing more complex board games but this moves the benchmark to a new level for me. You play one of a team of investigators trying to close a series of gates through which will appear all types of hideous monsters. If you get overrun you may be devoured or worse still the Ancient One may appear and you may have a chance to fight it or suffer a fate even worse....

Depending on which investigator you are you will have some special powers, weapons and some money. However you only have a finite amount of stamina and sanity and these can be lost quite easily when fighting a nightmare like the Leng Spiders. In which case off to the Asylum or Hospital you will go....
