I think it's a pain to have to adjust the settings every time the game is turned on. No one can read the questions with the default settings, unless someone is a speed reader with incredible eyesight. It would be nice if the game allowed the setting to remain set until manually changed. The questions are challenging, however, and we've had a lot of fun playing this game with friends.

Fun word games but doesn't explain how to play them. It can be hard to see the screen at different angles. Also speed is of the essence and the game doesn't always register your choice at first touch. You have to press it a few times to get it to work. I bought this for my grade school aged son and I play with it more.

I bought this for my elderly mother in the nursing home. It was too complicated for her (& even for me). She did like the noises & movement. I still don't know how to play it, too many lines to understand what wins.

Leapster L-Max Girl Handheld

I bought this one for my daughter because she has had another one for 2 years and just loves it, finally wore out the pen but the touch screen still works... a friend wants the old one for her child now. My daughter has epilepsy and is not allowed to play video games but begged and begged for something to play like all the other kids. I get to cheat a little by letting her play this system for an hour or 2 a day, I figuer that if she can LEARN something while playing these games.... it is worth it. Her neorologist is not thrilled, but has said as long as it is very limited it is ok. I thought this Chess set was going to be a simple game, but it was totally amazing how the pieces just move by itself. I would highly recommend this game to anyone from starter to pro.

I realize this is a "toy," and toys are generally thought to be for kids.

This misconception causes and undervaluing of toys, and of play, and unfortunately deludes the marketplace.

It manifests here in the fact that these fellows turn off after 4 minutes, so if you want them to stay on and run across your desktop, you must turn them back on every four minutes. I have 6 cubes total, and do plan to purchase more, so that is 6 button presses every four minutes. Multiply that by however many groups of four minutes there are in an hour, or however long you want them on, and it becomes a lot of button pressing. I miss a simple on/off function.

These weird little blocks are addictive! Our 9 year old just rec'd his first pair for his birthday. He and his 10 year old brother love them. However, the little stick guys aren't that nice to each other, so if that's an issue in your household, you might want to reconsider. I've also read (though I don't know if this is true) that some of the other pairs have "questionable" behaviors that might be better suited to....ummm, an adult toy store? My boys have had fun "seeing what happens if you do this" and trying to figure out the technology behind the toy, but I can see them getting bored with them if they can't add new cubes every so often.

Yahtzee Wild

The Yahtzee Wild Handheld has several improvements over previous models. First and foremost, it seems to be of much more quality and is holding up better than other models (especially the Electronic Hand-Held Yahtzee Game and yahtzee electronic, both of which did not last very long at all before breaking). The Wild version has fewer buttons (because of the touchscreen) and that was usually the source of problems on the other models.

The touchscreen is a great addition to this game. For a decent price you get a handheld game with not only a touchscreen, but also a backlight. It includes a protective cover as well. Color Screen UNO

This UNO game is so much better than the older hand-held ones. I've had four different ones. This one lets you see all the cards you have instead of just a number. It's fast and fun. It does eat batteries though but you can play in the dark.
