I bought this for my niece when she was a yr old and she seemed to like it. So this christmas I bought it for my 11 month old....she seems to like it. Doesnt keep her interest that long, but then again..what does?? It seems durable as she yanks and plays with that dancing bear that spins around. The songs arent overly annoying but we did joke around that it seems the same lady talks for all the talking toys. The price has jumped a bit since we bought it, but its a pretty good toy.

VTech ABC Food Fun 26 Magnets

We love the idea of this toy, different types of food, colors, and even letters. There are a few problems with it though. The little fridge unit keeps sliding down our fridge. Not sure if it's because we live in Japan and have a Japanese fridge or if the magnets just aren't strong enough for the weight. Not a big deal, we're going to use some double sided tape to keep it up. Also, the little door is hard to open. Even my nearly three year old asks me to open it for her so it's impossible for my 17 month to open it herself. Of course she loves to close the door. Also, some of the pieces are hard to take out of the fidge once they are in. It's a great concept for a toy and would be wonderful with a few changes. Both my daughters love ... Read More:

My daughter loves her other Little Leaps games, but this one is a dud. Maybe it's just her, but she prefers the interactive puppets versus the cartoons. Not only that, but there are fewer games on this one than the other puppet type games.

If you already have the others, then you may want this one to add to your collection.

If you don't have others, I'd recommend the LeapFrog Little Leaps Play & Move instead.

I bought this game for my 5-year old who is entering 1st grade in the fall. She's a fine reader but not the best at spelling, which is why I got this game for her. The game is a great way to sneak in some spelling practice and she loves the characters and the little songs that accompany each of the games. I often catch her at odd moments singing the tunes. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase. I just wish there were more game titles for older kids since I also have an 8-year old!

LeapFrog Fridge Phonics Lowercase Letters Expansion Pack

Although advertised as compatible with ALL fridge phonics sets, I was dissapointed to open the expansion pack on my son's birthday and discover that the letters did not fit his fridge phonics word builder or magnetic alphabet set. A call to Leap Frog to try and resolve the problem was unsuccessful. The company does not seem to understand the meaning of the word ALL. They claim that the phonics products I have are new and the expansion pack is old therefore negating the compatibility. The packaging does not list any product age disclaimers. Luckily, Amazon accepted the return easily.

This is such a cute book! It has clear simple illustrations and different toucy-feelies incorporated. My daughter absolutely love this book. I highly recommend it.

I bought this leapster for my son & nephew, both are 6 1/2, both are very adept at quickly learning new games. Both found this game too fast moving. They simply could not keep up with it and quickly became frustrated. Perhaps better for someone 8 +.
