My husband and I looked at all the so called toddler "computers" on the market. Those things with the 2x2 screen and not much else? We decided to save our money. Then going through a Costco in JAPAN of all places, we ran across this item. IT'S FABULOUS (and yes it was in English though we were in Japan)! It has 30 "games" that cover all areas of reading, writing, comprehension, math, and even mock "email" so they understand the workings of a real PC. My oldest son--he was 2 1/2 when we bought it--figured out pretty fast which codes were associated with his favorite games. He also figured out the Help button would give the right answer if he didn't know. :) Now every time he sees the letter A he says, "A. Airplane!", because that's the word ... Read More:

My son received this for Christmas and played it a bit afterwards, but tells me he doesn't like it, which is odd to me because he LOVES anything with CARS. Unless you're quick you have to listen/watch the instructions everytime you start a game, which gets annoying. He's had his L-Max since before he was 3 and continuously plays his Dora and Spongebob games and the games that came on the unit. Luckily I got it on sale, otherwise, I would have felt I'd paid way too much. (Though, I believe they are overpriced to begin with.)

We purchased this toy for my for Christmas last year. He was 1 1/2 at the time. I agree with other reviewers in that we too were initially disappointed that the train does not go around the tracks. Also, since the track does not come apart from the station, it was impossible for him to put the animals on the stand without leaning on letters and setting those off. However, he plays with this toy every day, and now that he's 2 1/2, he can reach the animal stand fine, and enjoys playing the game where he's asked to find the letter that makes each sound, etc. If you're looking for a train, this is not the toy to buy. If you're looking for just a fun learning toy, this one is great. He still loves it!

I got the Fly Fusion Pen for my little girl about two months ago. I contains about 64mb memory on the pen itself. To put all of the programs and additional mp3 songs on the pen for her, she really needed more memory. So, I purchased an additional 64mb pen cartridge, and now she has all of the space she needs for all of her educational programs, plus room for some music to listen to, also. I love this product because it encourages her to learn, and the additional memory cartridge just makes it more functional. Plus, the cartrdige is so affordable that you can't afford not to get it to work in tandem with the pen. Two thumbs up!
