This product has benefits and drawbacks in just about every area. It is very easy for a 3 year old to operate and navigate through the programs. Mine had no trouble at all and has had very limited use of any computers in my home. The puzzle feature is dull and my child lost interest in it very quickly. You need to click on the squares until you hear the chime that indicates a puzzle match. This is all well and good and very easy to do, except you have to keep clicking and clicking the square as many as 10 times before you get a match. I counted at least 114 clicks with the mouse to paint the pictures that have only 20 squares to match.I saw no difference between level one and level two; the games, pictures, activities and features were exactly ... The game in itself is a good idea, but moving around on it is a different story. I tried to play it (and I do know how to spell) but getting it to move and turn was a pain. It was not one of my best purchases.

I was so disappointed in this product. I bought it because I thought it would be indestructable for my son as advertised. Within days of my son opening it from Christmas, it was already broken and we hadn't even dropped it yet (like the commercial). I have already returned the item to amazon. Don't waste your money.

My Daughter is 3 and 1/2 and loves this. It has gotten her excited to write her letters. She has the Clifford reading and writing game and plays with it for at least 30 minutes at a time.

This toy asks kids what letter does balloon start with? This is too advanced for a preschooler. I WISH it had levels or gave me the ability to limit the questions to color & shape. The computer COULD HAVE BEEN a good lead way into real computers for kids but as it is now it is only a source of frustration. We will put this toy in the growing pile of toys to pull out next year, or the year after that, and hope they still work.
If you are looking for a computer type toy for a young child I do not think you can go wrong with My First Leap Pad by Leap Frog.

LeapFrog Leapster Carrying Case

We looked carefully at these when buying cases for both our kids leapsters and decided on a simple lunchbox instead. It allows the kids to carry all their games, a spare set of batteries, the wall plug, AND their leapster all in one carrier. We've used this method for several months now and both kids (ages 3 and just 5) can open and close the cases easily. My son has the leapster game case, but we haven't gotten my daughter one of those yet and she's simply using an old walkman case to contain her games.

AND... if they ever get tired of their leapster the case can carry something else (even lunch).

My daughter likes this game very well. She plays it every night just before going to bed. I have had no problems with it. She has already mastered all the games on it though within the first day she had it.

My son loves his ClickStart, which we started with The Thomas the Tank Engine and Dora programs. We added Diego and Nemo after we saw that he liked it. Of all the titles I would say this one is the most lame.

To start, the characters don't look all that much like they do in the movie and of course the voices are not the same - this was a little distracting. But the big issue is that the games themselves are not very good. The objectives are unclear and the feedback lacking. In contrast the Dora and especially Deigo games are engaging, challenging and well-paced.

The more your little one likes Nemo the less they'll like this game.

Vtech - Rhyme & Discover Book

This was given as a gift to our 7 mo old daughter. We like it since she can "read" to herself using this book. THe voice reads aloud to the child as she turns the pages and manipulates the page features. It has captivating sounds and lights. I wouldn't suggest is take the place of parents reading to their children, but it's good to occupy children when mom or dad can't be right there with them at the moment.
