My step-daughters are 12 and 14, and they love these things so much it's almost a problem! I've had to make rules about homework and chores! They really teach them about the responsibility of owning a pet, and they are always very dissapointed if the pet dies.

The only drawback is the little ball on the antennae breaks pretty easily. Also, check with your childs school to make sure they are allowed. My step-daughters "forgot" that electronic devices weren't allowed at their school and got in troulbe for brining them! Now they reset the clocks so that the pets sleep during the school day.

My daughter has two of these which she got for Christmas, and she has yet to put them down. Tama Town is a little confusing, but fun, as well. She likes the "pause" function, which enabled her to go on the family vacation and leave it at home, ready to be played with when she got back.

I bought this remote Dragonfly as a Christmas gift for my grandson. The first time we took it out we were having great fun. Then while it was flying it took a nose dive and when we retrieved it both wings had a tear in them. They should come with an extra set of wings or at least you should be able to buy extra wings as they are very delicate.

My daughter's product did not work properly, although it didn't look damaged. My other daughter's did, so we knew what it was supposed to do. I ended up buying a replacement at K-mart because it was a Christmas present and waiting for it to re-ship wasn't a good option.

Fur Real Friends Tugging Pup Schnauzer

Let me explain my 4 stars. I have seen the larger fur real lion, and it's very cute. It does several things, and has moves and moods. I put it up against my own dog, which is a miniature schnauzer, and she was receptive to it. So, I looked for a fur real schnauzer, and found this one. I bought it, thinking it was more like the lion.
Well, you have to give the puppy quite a tug on her little rope, to get it to make sounds. You can also pat it, if you pat it in just the right place, and it responds. It makes a few sounds, and it's ears and tail moves, it's head cocks to one side. It is grey, and has some of the mannerisms of a real schnauzer. I live overseas and these are not available in the stores here, so I ordered many at a time to have on hand. They are becoming the best toy to have. The kids LOVE them and they are "THE" birthday present to give. They are constantly checking them, playing with them, connecting to others and wanting to go online to Tomatown. They even all have to have lanyards so they can have them around their necks and they do not have to worry about putting it down and leaving it somewhere.
