I saw this toy at Wal-mart, and I thought it would be the perfect toy for my three-year-old. There was no price on the shelf, so I took it up to the register and about had a heart attack when I heard the price. However, I figured since my son has some birthday money from relatives, I would try it out because I really thought it would be a hit toy.

My three-year-old really does like the toy. It has three dance modes. One is called "Dance Along" and has 18 toddler favorites, each with a different "animation." I assumed these songs would be good quality music (since the camera costs $50!), but the songs are cheesy electronic keyboard music with no words. I bought this for my two grandsons, ages 4 & 6, for Christmas last year. The concept is a great one but needs electrical hookup. But for me the deal breaker was that it really needs to be made more durable. It didn't last but two weeks and fell apart. They did not mind repeating the games which helped to build their confidence as they mastered more and more. But it would have been nice if they could of had their own names and scores like a lot of the other software has that's out there. Like I said ... GREAT CONCEPT but lacking in durability.

This toy isn't much better than most of the remote controlled toys you see out there. However, Mattell is putting a HUGE amount of advertising and hype into it for Christmas. I hate that toy companies sucker parents into buying a 2 hour thrill for their media-driven and gullible children. Save your money--ignore the commercials and go check it out first.

This is the best purchase I have made this year! My 6mo. old will sit in front of this thing forever and just hit buttons and giggle with every sound it makes. She loves the mirror as well. She tries to touch the "other baby" all the time. On the other hand my three yr. old uses it as a dance studio. She grabs the mic and runs around dancing to the music and singing like a little superstar. This is a must have!

Vtech - Tote 'N Go Laptop Plus

This laptop was almost what I was looking for. My two and a half year old sits and plays with it and actually gets some of the answers correct...I'm amazed! I was hoping the keyboard was like a normal laptop because I'd rather her know where the typing keys are as opposed to A-Z. I also wish there was a function on the laptop to just let her type letters...but so far I haven't found such a feature. I bought this laptop with the hopes that she wouldn't want to use mine...and so far so good. I recommend this laptop for parents who want to teach their kids letters, spelling and how to use a mouse. For the price..it's great!

My 4 year old twins received this for their birthday last month. They are really into "learning" stuff like practicing counting, letters, numbers and so on. Yeah, it may not be a really great learning toy but what toy is? That is what school and parents are for. This is a toy that just help to reinforce what they have learned from school or parents.

My daughters like the drawing part the best. It may not have a specific learning objective like other areas but the game itself gives them independence and the navigation helps with dexterity. And of course the stamps are tons of fun.

They also play with the math games where they have to click on a specific number of shapes. It helps with shape recognition and counting. And the ... Read More:

When I called my sister to see how her son (5 years old) liked this gift, she laughed. Apparently he burst into tears upon first seeing it because it wasn't another super hero action figure. She sat down with him and his older brother (6 years old) and they played a round and they've been playing it daily ever since. She also mentioned that her 5-year-old tends to be a bit of a sore loser and this game has helped her to help him overcome that tendency.

The WowWee Lion Club is wonderful and my 13 month old friend loved it. The eyes and mouth worked great after I changed the original batteries but the purring part did not. What a hassle to have to send it back to Amazon for a refund, especially since it came in a box large enough to hold an Ambrams Army tank. Even so, I am trying again and reordered based on the child's reaction and her parents. They wanted to order all three!

This product is awesome! I love it and so does my 4-year-old son. I really can't say enough good things about it.

My son enjoys using his "Magic Pen" every night to "read" his two books - Ozzie and Mack and Cars Tractor Tipping." Many nights, after I put him to bed, I will hear the pen talking to him and the characters of the book come alive. He reads these so much that he will tell me as soon as he turns the page "Oh, it's Frank!" ... or make the sound effects that the characters make before even placing the pen on the pictures. He also enjoys turning the pen on and just listening to the story without the book.
