we've tried a few other basic alarm clocks but they all failed to get my deep sleeper out of bed in the morning. Since my 9 year old is into all the interactive toys out there thought this one would be a fun one to try (fingers crossed) My DD loves to 'pet' the clock to see it 'smile', make music. The radio is alright but not the best to find many clear channels but its fine for a kid. We bought this clock and used it for the first time on Sunday. I was suprised that it was loud enough to get my DD out of bed, actually she even woke me up to tell me she couldn't turn it off! I bought two of these, one for a birthday present for a friend's kid, and one for my own son. The first one out of the box had issues with one of the wheels not turning, so I set it aside to test the second which seemed to operate okay. Good thing I test toys before I give them as gifts! Wrapped the second one up and haven't heard any news from my friend. However, we were able to fix the first one because the cheap Chinese plastic/rubbery wheels were easy to remove and shave off some excess material that was keeping the wheel from turning. Good thing I'm handy. We have tried this car many tmes in the water and continue to be disappointed. It barely moves in the water and if any current or wave catches it, the vehicle is a goner. LeapFrog® Leapster® Learning Game: Sonic X

My seven year old daughter loves video games whether computer PC or handheld. I bought her a leapster for her birthday so that I could at least get her interested in educational type games. She loves the leapster, and Sonic X is so far her favorite leapster game. I hope that she is learning some from it even though she claims that it is not very educational.

We have a time timer for our 3 year old son and 18 month old daughter.

We use it to help them transition through activities throughout the day and teach them about the passing of time. A great example is nap time... which used to be a difficult time of day until we started with the time timer. Here's how I use it: First, I explain to my son that when the time timer goes "beep beep" it will be time for bed. I set the timer for around 30 minutes (or whenever nap time is supposed to be) and my son and I settle into an activity. LeapFrog® Didj Custom Learning Game Case

My son just received this case today as a gift. We were really looking forward to having a sturdy, cool-looking case for his Didj and games. Although it looks cool, the quality stinks. From the moment I took it out of the box, the case did not stay closed. There is no way to ensure that the case stays closed - no lock, latch, zipper, or anything. I have always been pleased with the thoughfulness of LeapFrog's toys, so I'm shocked at the lack of thought that went into this case - especially for the price. Save your money and find another alternative for your Didj. If you want to store or carry the Didj safely, this is NOT the way to go.
