YNU Group Mixis Limited Edition Rosa Doll

Rosa has lovely, strong features. Her tawny coloring is nicely contrasted by blue eyes. She has a substantial look and weight. So parents offended by the traditional big bust, small waist, thin legs of many fashion dolls might find Rosa less offensive.

The only "problem" is that when she is posed to sit, her legs have a slight spread. Her panties are molded on, flesh colored, but cloth underpants are bulky for 12" fashion dolls.

Her outfit resembles real clothes that a real person would wear. The boots are leather-like with a full zip. (Like real boots ... sigh.)

I am happy to have this doll in my collection; I look forward to buying other dolls in this series.

Emerald has a pretty, almost un-made-up face. She has a substantial build and a nice weight. Like the other Mixis dolls, she looks healthy. When she is posed to sit, her legs have a slight spread, but she has molded on, flesh colored underpants.

Emerald wears a vivid green cotton tank top, dark denim mini skirt with a black-silver cloth belt, silver-emerald earrings, and black "leather" knee boots. Her knee boots -- like Rosa, another Mixis doll -- are the closest to real women's boots that I have seen for a doll this scale, outside Integrity's Fashion Royalty dolls, R&D's Susie dolls, Takara's Jenny, and Azone fashions, to name a few manufacturers who create this kind of detailed fashions for dolls.

Mixis Houda Sunset Edition

Houda is one of the Mixis dolls. Like the other dolls in this series, she is pretty and solid. By solid, I mean she has a wholesome, adequately fed appearance. Houda is also multi-ethnic with soft strawberry blonde hair and a long, high-bridged nose.

This Houda is from the Sunset Edition. That series of the Mixis dolls has jointed arms at the elbows -- posing fun. What's nice about Houda is that her joints are subtle. (Some dolls have unattractive, knobby joints.) She has the molded-on, flesh-colored panties that the other Mixis dolls have AND a pair of white cotton bikini panties. She wears a sky blue and green print sundress and sky blue wedge espadrilles and carries a matching sky blue tote handbag.
