-My daughter received this as a gift for Christmas. She seems very happy with it so far, and it seems sturdy after 24 hours of play with 5 and 8 yr old girls and a crazy 2 yr old boy throwing things at it.

I am a little disturbed by some of the reviews I'm reading about this doll's skin tone. First of all, all African Americans are NOT the same skin tone! I'm African American and I am about 3 or 4 shades lighter than this doll. My skin tone in the African American community, is what we consider "High Yellow." So I don't get all this business about her color not being "true" African American. People please know that there is no specific African American color. African American and Latino American's represent MANY shades of Brown. I'm talking from super "high yellow" to "ebony" dark and every beautiful shade in between.

Disney Shimmer Princess Sleeping Beauty Doll

My four year old daughter loves Disney Princesses, and has all six in this "Shimmer' series of Disney Princess Dolls; they don't come with many extras, just a crown, shoes, and a scepter that can be used as a ring, but they are (usually) more reasonably priced than some of the other, more elaborate versions of Disney Princess dolls.

Best of all, this particular Aurora/Sleeping Beauty doll is gorgeous! It's my favorite out of all six of the Shimmer Princesses.

Recommended if you want a simple yet lovely Aurora doll.
