We got this so our daughter could have one (this will be for her birthday) that can be put away when the space is needed for other things. It has a wrinkle where the whiteboard folds (and it gives a little when marking on). We tested it to know what to expect on her birthday. Other than that, it seems remarkably sturdy.

My little boy really likes it, and it took the sting out of the fact that big sister got a whole new bed.

There are two downsides, however:
1) Seams are not very strong.
2) The width and length are enough to fit around a mattress only, which means that if you have an external headboard or footboard the train will not fit over it and sit on the floor. You will slip the train over the mattress and it will rest on the frame at the level of the mattress. It is not designed for this, and if it does not sit on the floor the panel with the "wheels" toward the front is higher than the mattress and blocks entry to the bed. My son throws himself across that panel, and I doubt the seams are going to hold up very long.

We absolutely love this bed! once we brought the new baby home my 2 1/2 year old son refused to sleep on his own and moved into our bed. We have one of those transitional cribs but he refused to be in the toddler bed. After many sleepless nights we decided to purchase this as his "BIG BOY" bed. From the moment the delivery man dropped it off and my son saw the box he was excited. Unfortunately this box weighs a ton so my son had to wait till daddy came home so he could bring it in. I purchased this even after reading other reviews that said it had an uncomfortable strap/seam across the middle. The "Princess" ones I purchased had that seam but my daughters didn't mind it. The Cars bed though didn't have that seam. It has a large "X" seam underneath instead of the horizontal one, so it's much more comfortable. The sleeping bag is very flimsy but you can always use your own bedding, it's great to have something portable to take to hotels, sleepovers, etc. that doesn't require blowing it up. And it's off the floor, unlike an air mattress. So I think it's great!

Folds up itsy-bitsy, easy to store, light to carry. Even if some jumping or bouncing happens accidentally (!!) the cot will take it, though no one would recommend that behavior or abuse of product. My extremely fussy young man took to it immediately and was pleased whenver it was brought out for him this summer. Cover washed up well, too. Great price.

Fantasy Vanity

We gave this to our daughter for her 5th birthday. It was easy to assemble and she loves it. It seemed small when I first set it up but when she sat down on the bench I realized it was the perfect size. The drawer is kind of small, but I bought a plastic box for under $1 for her to set on top of the vanity so she could store more stuff. Also, we choose this particular item because it's not quite as "flashy" as some of the other Barbie and Disney models. It has a more mature look we thought would be appealing as she gets a little older. We've had several other Step2 products and been happy with both appearance and quality.

Great toy for a 5-year old who loves pirates. I've seen lots of imaginative play involving this treasure chest and it's pretty neat looking! I wish I would have found this sooner. We have lots of pirate "booty" loaded into this chest each day. I'm happy that we bought it and it is used quite often. When it isn't being used, it looks great in my son's room. Another great Melissa & Doug item.

Giant Road Rug

My 18-mth old loves to drive his cars on this rug and stop at all the houses and the train station, etc. Very tough material, but still soft enough to play on. Great product!
