Clue Jr. (The Case of the Missing Chocolate Cake)

We bought this game for our daughter when she was five. It was a great introduction to the concept of the process of elimination, and she loved playing it. At age 8 she's now ready for the adult version of Clue, but we haven't given away the junior one yet-- still too attached to it!

The frame to make the older and newer versions compatible is available from Mayfair Games on their site for about $10. If you buy the 4th edition of Settlers and Seafarers together, you have nothing to worry about. And I strongly recommend it. Seafarers adds some nice new wrinkles to Settlers while preserving the spirit of the original game. You, your neighbors, and your kids will get hooked! But remember, you have to start with Settlers!

Rock 'Em Sock 'Em ROBOTS Game

I've never played with the original set, so I have no basis for comparison, but the 2 sets I have bought (the first as a gift for someone else) are utter trash. The robots are difficult to manipulate, and even if you have one person hold one robot down and the other punch it repeatedly it still takes an absurdly long amount of time for the head to pop up. No play value at all.
