Spinners is a great game for a group. It is better than Mexican Train dominoes because you need less room on the table to play it and you can rotate people among tables as you are playing. Older kids and adults will enjoy it. Participants can carry on a conversation and play at the same time so it makes for a great mingling tool. While it is not too intense for conversation, it does encourage thought and strategy while playing--a winning combination!

This is one of my families all time favorite games! It is compact and only takes up a little space to play it. I have played with my 70 something parents and my twenty something daughter at the same time and we all "get it "and have a wonderful time. This game is a great equalizer. Just when you think you are going to win the game changes due to a rule change or an action by a player. The randomness allows anyone to win which increases the fun for all. If you want a good gift for someone close to you or not, this is the one. Cheap and Fun!

Dance Dance Revolution DVD Game

My son has been begging for Dance Dance Revolution since he played it in gym class on a rainy day. Of course there's no way the school would have the full system for all the kids to participate, so he was not disappointed that his movements are not recorded onscreen with this version. I know that was a concern of some other reviewers.

There was also no way I was going to purchase a whole gaming system just to have the original version of the game. That just wasn't in the birthday budget. So when I saw this I was thrilled! And when he opened it, so was he!!

Gnip Gnop

This great game from my childhood prompted me to seek one out for my own rambuncious kids. In searching Ebay for vintage games I noticed the company was again manufacturing "new" games and so I decided to purchase a brand-new "clean" game. However, my new purchase seems to lack stability as compared to the original. Most matches require continual repositioning of the cover/lid to keep the game from coming apart. The buttons also don't seem to have the oomph of the original. There is definately a difference in an "original" Gnip Gnop game and a new one. If I were in the market again, I would opt for an original rather than a new model, newer is not always better.

51" Giga Ball - Red

I gave this ball to my granddaughters, ages 3 and 5, last year. They loved it and so did all of their friends in the neighborhood. They continue to play with it this year but some of the baffles have finally gotten holes in them. It was such a hit that I am back for another. This ball is a winner and has given my girls tons of fun play.

Slamwich

I recently bought SlamWich based on a recommendation and I think it is really fun! It is fast and silly and enjoyable. My 5 year old twins were easily able to play. (Actually, we removed those 1,2,3 cards for now to make it easier, but we'll try to add them back soon.

I did play once with my husband and he did whack my hand pretty hard (it twisted my finger a bit) so I can see where the one person with a "1" star rating was coming from, but I don't blame the game for that - I blame my over-zealous husband! :-)

Since then, I went and purchased several of the Gamewright games, and I think they are all pretty fun. For me, it has been money well spent.

This is a great game. It is so developmentally appropriate for young children. My 2 and 4 year olds both love it for different reasons. They play at their own developmental levels. The thing I really like about it is how easy it is to just start playing. Very simple directions, so you don't have to study a rule sheet to figure out how to start playing the game in the first place.

this game in my opinion is horrible. the game is too easy and doesnt take that long to play. the questions were very elementary, that is the ones that had to do with the show it self. bad buy on my part. i should of bought the trivia game over the dvd game.
