Lamaze My Friend Emily

I received this at my baby shower, and it has become my daughter's favorite toy. This amuses her the longest per session, and most consistently day to day.

Her favourite parts are the two rings in Emily's hand - perfect for teething and clutching (she is also a fan of teething on the white ring you use to clip the doll on things - the edges are beveled and just the right width - and seems to find this soothing on her gums). She also loves the crinkle skirt, particularly the "hem" of the dress, with all of its different textured fabrics. Every so often, she squishes Emily's feet to hear them crinkle. I originally got this game for my 8 year old. After she played it a few times, my 6 year old and 4 year old were begging to play. Fun, educational and even amusing for us adults watching our kids play.

ScienceWiz Chemistry Experiments Kit and Book 35 Experiments, Chemistry

My sons loved to gather around and do these experiments together. The text is bright and colorful, fun, and easy to understand. Science is not my strong suit, but this product made it possible for me to instill a love of science for my children. We used this in 1st grade together with the younger boys watching. An older child who can read would be able to do it alone successfully. Best of all, the kit provides the odd things you need to complete the experiments successfully.

My son totally loves it and you should hear him squeal when, he sees it. I would recommend it. There are different events your child can partake in. My only regret is, it does not have enough activities but overall, its a great learning tool!

my nephew loved this thing with the movement and talking but at 18 months he hasn't gotten the hang of the educational side yet. here's hoping he grows into it.

LeapFrog® Leapster® Learning Game: Disney Princess - Belle & Ariel

This is one of my 5 year-old's favorite game cartridges. She likes the other Disney Princess cartridge also. The games on this one are:

(Ariel games which focus on shapes, numbers, math)
Hermit Crab Shuffle - use the stylus to help Ariel select the hermit crab with the correct answer written on it's shell

Sea Searchin' - use the D pad to help Flounder swim to the bubble with the correct answer in it

(Belle games that focus on letters, phonics, spelling, memory)
Dish Dash - use the stylus to help Chip select the dish with the correct answer on it

Snow Ride - use the D-pad to help Belle ride her horse through the snow to reach the log with the correct answer on it

Parents Busy Zoo

The Parents Busy Zoo is a great toy for hand eye coordination and general development. My daughter enjoys it very much. Our pediatrician had similar toys in the office so I knew this would be a great investment. I had gotten this toy for her when she was all but 6 months old. She plays with it all the time. Her 3.5 year old cousin loved the toy as well. It is made of nice strong wood and very durable. Very safe since there are no corners.
