I am surprised with the rating since this is by far the most boring toy with no educational value for my son. My son had it for over 3 months now, but he hardly spent any time with it. I would have returned it if I had paid full price for it. I got this for about $20 and I still think for a little more money, there are many better choices out there. Take a look at the 3-in-1 Smart Wheels by V-Tech.

I purchased two Leapster2s from different stores and neither one could detect an SD card. They could not detect a new SD card nor a used one that I cleared. This negates what was a major selling point for me which is being able to download free games and for my daughters to be able to save artwork and such to the cards. I might as well have bought the regular Leapster and saved my money. I checked out the Amazon comments a little too late. Others have complained about the SD card feature with the Leapster2 and their are complaints about picture quality with the Leapster Lmax. When companies give you less than what you are paying for it is called a "RIP OFF". I used to expect more from Leap Frog. Boy do I wish Sony made a competing product.

Lamaze Garden Bug Wrist Rattle/Foot Finder Set

I love the concept of these.... it's just that 1. I wish the rattles were a little louder and 2. the socks aren't that stretchy and they are kind of small on my 3 mo. old's feet. I think he'll grow out of them this month. I don't know... i just think with some minor improvements they could be a much better quality item. Like the little antlers on the bugs are kind of poky. I like them, but i don't love them. I think the idea of the rattles are 5 stars but the execution is only a 3... hence the four stars above :)

I bought this for my Grandson's 3rd birthday and he plays with it constantly. Before receiving it I kept second guessing whether I should have bought the Thomas track, but after receving it, I have no regrets at all. The track itself is every bit as good as the Thomas track and the train station and trains are at least decent. My recommendation is to buy this set and eventually add some of the Thomas trains, stations, and bridges. As is mentioned in other reviews, if you plan on building 2nd level tracks, make sure you buy the Suretrack clips to keep the joined pieces of track together, otherwise you will find yourself and child becoming extreamly frustrated with the track falling apart every time it moves. I bought this for my daughter for her birthday after she saw a commercial and just had to have it. I read other reviews on this doll and thought "please dont leat us have the problems that others have had". So far so good. We have had her since April '08. She has been in the tube, in the pool,everywhere and we have had no problems. She starts to swim within a few seconds of being in the water and stop her swimming motion a few seconds after pulling her out and holding her in a straight up postion so the water can drain faster. I guess we were lucky enough to get a good one.shes alot of fun. Even my youngest son likes to play with her.

If you have a teether, these will not survive the toddler's gnawing on them. Also, these will buckle under the weight of a toddler trying to balance on them or balance heavier toys on the boxes. For a good idea of how sturdy these are, they are comparable to heavy duty cardboard moving boxes. If you think you toddler won't be able to destroy these, this is a wonderful excellent toy. On the other hand, if your toddler is as strong as mine is, look for the wooden blocks instead, such as Hi-5 Sorting tower.

LeapFrog® Tag Activity Storybook I SPY: Imagine That!

I got this book along with the Leapfrog Tag Reading System for my three-year-old daughter. I thought it would help her learn words (or names) and its phonic sounds (I am not a native English speaker). I think it is a good book for kids who just start to learn words.

The downside of the book is that it sounds words only if they are a part of "I spy..." sentences. There are a lot of things in the I SPY pictures but everything has only some kinds of music (or effect) sounds, not names, except those in the sentences. So, my daughter only can learn names and phonics about three or four for each picture unless I teach her the names of objects personally.

Maybe, English-speak families do not understand its necessity but I wish the book has ... Read More:

Ty Blue - Blues Clues

This Blues Clues is not really a toy, but more of a beanie baby. Our little 3 year old granddaughter loves it. When she watches tv, it comes out with her and sits right next to her. Its very soft and shes likes to hug it.
