It is a good "machine" although you need to keep in a certain position (angle) in order to visualize the numbers. One missing feature is that it does not tell you which game number you are playing, so after a while you may playing the same game over and over. Overall it does meet the purpose.

I have not constructed the puzzle yet and am considering returning it because I expected a 1000 piece puzzle, and this puzzle is 2000 pieces. Nowhere in the writeup does it say how many pieces, so it is my mistake by making an assumption. Unfortunately, my puzzle board is not large enough to accommodate a puzzle this large.

What a fun puzzle. It has endured rough use from my 3 children and it has held up well. Good for motor skills.

I read the other reviews about these sound puzzles but I figured I'd still give them a try. The pictures are great, but the sounds are totally weird and are a little scary, the zebra in particular is awful. These puzzles are definitely light sensitive so we found that we couldn't leave them in our sons room b/c as the sun came in and out of the clouds or set for the evening and rose in the morning they would randomly start making all of their lovely animals noises, a little weird. They couldn't make the puzzle so that the corresponding pieces were the only thing that makes the noise activate?? Okay toy, but nothing great.

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Farm in a Box Jigsaw Puzzles

This is a great set. Each puzzle is made of wood, and has a shape stamped on the back so you know which pieces go together when you have a pile of them. The box it comes in has 4 separate compartments to keep each puzzle in it's own little area. I love that. Also has a lid which is nice. The puzzles seem very sturdy and the colors are so vibrant. The kids love these, and I look forward to purchasing different sets.

The puzzle is made of quality materials, and looks to be pretty straight forward (To put together). Although, this doesn't make it any easier to actually put together! It is a fun and challenging puzzle.

On the Go Wooden Jigsaw

Another great product from Melissa and Doug. This, and the similar Melissa & Doug Construction Wooden Chunky Puzzle, were my 21-month-old son's first jigsaw puzzles, and he loved them on sight! Because these puzzles are made of thick, sturdy wood, there are some not-completely-smooth edges. No biggie -- I gave them a little buffing with very fine sandpaper and they were fine.

He worked with the puzzle, with a little help from Mom & Dad, until he had literally memorized it and could put it together lightning-fast. Now, at 24 months, he enjoys putting his puzzles together wood-side-up, too, so we're really getting our money's worth with this thing.

150 Piece Scrambled States of America Puzzle and Book Set

We love this puzzle and we already loved the book (from the library). But we were disappointed by two things. One is that the book is a very flimsy copy. It's like a comic book and very small. I wish I had just bought the actual book separately. Also, our puzzle came missing one piece. I've never had that happen. It's a piece of Uncle Sam's body. We can do it without the piece, but it's diappointing to not have a complete puzzle. Very strange that it came without that one piece. The pieces were in a sealed bag and all, but it wasn't in there.

Olde General Store Jigsaw Puzzle 1000pc

I never owned a White Mountain jigsaw puzzle and happy I ordered one. In particular, this subject was fun putting together because of the mix of different colors. Especially challenging are the windows and the content on the shelves of the store. Another aspect, it was a 'painting' and not a 'photo'. The brush strokes lent to understanding how to put the puzzle together, a good hint for a 1000-pieces. I'm a middle to advanced puzzler. It took me four and a half days to put this one together. I like many of the 1,000 piece puzzles, but will look for more pieces, 1500-2000.
