Miele Toy Vacuum Cleaner

I got this for my son when he was about 15 months old. The vacuum was a real hit - it looks just like the real Miele we use. The knob to increase the suction is really cute and gets louder as you turn it. The hose can clip on the end or the vacuum can stand up and the hose can clip to the side just like the real one too. The attachments are very cute and my son loved playing with those although he was not able to put them on himself - they have to snap into place - again, like the real one. My 2 year old loves this tool set. The tools are very sturdy and easy for him to manuver. He loves to copy his dad and me if we happen to be fixing something around the house. My only minor problem with it is that the tools sit in a plastic thing that organizes all the tools, but it is flimzy and won't stay in the plastic case so I just ended up throwing it away. Not really a big deal but it bothered me a little for some reason that the tools didn't have a place to fit into. Other than that, great toy for the little mechanic/carpenter.

When looking at this product, I assumed it was made in China since it does not say where it was made. With all of the lead paint recalls from Chinese made toys, it is hard to consider something which is designed to be put in a child's mouth that is made in China, Especially with high-temperature water which is highly reactive.

So I went to True Value Hardware and found one (Fielder Keepsakes) which is made in the USA.

The age for this product says two years or older, I gave it to my one year old on her b day. After she tried eating all the food thinking it was real she got the hang of it. Her five year old brother knows what to do with it making fake meals and feeding me breakfast. It only took about a week before my one year old started playing along.

There is so much food and dishes that it was a hassle at first picking every thing up every day sometimes two or three times a day. But I fixed that by giving my five year old his first chore ever. I like a purchase that has a life to it and this is so sturdy I believe it will be around for my grand kids as well.

My 28 month old daughter just received this for Christmas. She loves it and has been having a great time with it. The pots are on the small side but very sturdy and she is able to put her play food in the pots. She has been having a great time with this and I would recommend it to anyone with a small playset like ours. It has been great for our limited space in our apartment.
