From the packaging, this toy looks pretty good, but once you get it open you can see that it is cheap and poorly put together. The case did not fit around the edges when closed, and the clasps were difficult to use and popped open on their own. I would not recommend this if you like quality toys!

My 2 y/o really enjoys putting the toolbelt on and playing with the tools. The tools are pretty well built. I wish they didn't have to brand every piece as BtB. Biggest disappointment was the helmet. It does not have an adjustment band inside and is somewhat small. It's actually best described as a plastic bowl and won't stay on his head.

Overall it is good. My son is only 14mos so all he is doing is banging around the pieces but I can see him growing with it. Only one of the pegs fits snugly like it is suppose to so he can hammer them in but the others are loose and a disappointment. After the Chinese Lead Paint scare, I worry about any product like this.

Easy Bake Decorating Pen Kit

I purchased the Easy Bake Decorating Pen for my 2 grand daughters (aged 4 and 2 years.) We used it together to decorate cup cakes. The 4 year old had no problem using it (the button is very easy to push while decorating.)The 2 year old also used it with a little adult assistance. She kept saying "My turn! My turn! The best part of the toy is the different tips...the 4 year old loved making different designs. Also,it was very easy to clean. You can add food coloring to the white frosting and decorate for any holiday. I would recommend this toy as a great holiday gift.

So, even though the little plastic door opens and shuts whenever it feels like it and is not durable, I love this toy. My daughter who is 16 months, has loved this toy since the moment we opened it (at about 13 months). She can sit down and play with this for over 20 minutes. Every time she gets a coin through the slot she shouts YAY!!!!! A toy that makes my kid this happy makes me want to shout YAY too!!! This is a handy way to help children learn hand-eye coordination, counting and colors. The songs it plays are adorable, and it counts with the kid as they put the coins in.

We purchased the Melissa and Doug Wooden Sushi set along with the Melissa and Doug Cutting Food Box for our sons at Christmas (see my Amazon review). It was great to mix and match foods from two cultures!

Here's four reasons we enjoyed this toy so much:

1. It was perfect for quiet play and indoor play during winter.

2. We reinforced good eating habits during meals with the playset.

3. Our sons learned a lot of vocabulary, especially verbs like cut, slice, chop, and mix.

4. Our sons had lots of FUN playing with the food box!
