Our boys love this! WE got it for the little one's birthday in 2007 to encourage sensory play. (We have two with sensory issues) But this sand table has helped with imagination and sharing too.
The lid is great so we can keep out the neighborhood cats that like to wander into the yard. However, it doesn't keep the rain water out completely. Typically we have to let it dry out in the sun for a day or two.
They play with their hot wheels on the lid and in the sand. They have enough room to dig and play construction. And it just goes on and on.
We found that using coarse sand instead of play sand works better with our boys. The play sand is too smooth and doesn't shape like the coarse sand. And it takes ... Read More:
