I purchased these because I saw the film and thought my neices would enjoy them-- they thought the Skeleton Children were very funny and sweet and these figures are an exact likeness of them. My neices were overjoyed with them and have been playing with them non stop for over a week now. They have held up beautifully - no breakage or chipping or anything. I think, perhaps those that complained about the durability are raising children that are rougher than most on things. There is no toy on earth that can withstand every childs rough handling. One of my neices is like that- and the other is very careful with everything. Neither of them have broken their Skeleton children. I believe breaking toys can be a hard lesson- but an important one.
