I bought this, and 2 other, fairy figures for my niece's 8th birthday. She's reading a series of books about fairies and is really "into" fairies right now. She LOVED these figures. The fairies can ride each other's horses. She really enjoyed naming the horses. These figures are sturdy and well made. They are painted/decorated with great detail. They are beautiful!

Our three year old son received Mack from his uncle for his birthday. He loves it! He plays with it every day. He and his twin sister put Lightning McQueen in the back and pretend to wash him, brush his teeth and get him oil from the refrigerator. I liked that this 2008 model comes with Lightning McQueen instead of having to purchase him separately. I would agree with some of the reviews from the older model that the plastic does seem a little cheap and flimsy in some of the smaller parts. But, so far it has held up to daily play by two three year olds without breaking.

Small plastic animals, as a genre, are an excellent toy. My daughter spends a lot of time playing with hers. I ordered these thinking we could do with a few more. But they seem very cheaply made. I sent them back. I recommend you get a couple of Toobs instead -- or, better by far, invest in some Playmobil.

Of the LPS playsets my daughter owns, this one gets the most use. She likes that it has various spots into which she can place multiple figures, so it feels more like a "home" for the animals. The moving baskets at the top are usually reserved for the more important figures, but my daughter takes the time to allow each animal a turn. This is what makes this playset worthwhile -- she actually uses it for extended periods and it prompts her to come up with scenarios for her animals. There are very few things that can get lost, except that the baskets sometimes come off, requiring adult intervention.

Matchbox Mega Rig Space Mission Building System

We Love this toy and have many of the other mega rigs because of this one! It was our first one - a treat for giving up diapers - and since then we have also purchased the sub, the rescue copter, the shark ship, the snow monster, and the other piece to the space shuttle that launches into space. My 3 year old son plays with these daily. He loves that the pieces are all interchangable and he can create tons of different vehicles. We have had NO problems with these toys - Unbelievable in itself! Would HIGHLY recomend these toys to any parent.

My daughter won't go to sleep with out this toy. It is very durable. My daughter plays like she is going off on an adventure, humming the song from the show for "Scooters Away".

Wooden Folding Barn

My daughter wanted a barn with farm animals so badly at Christmas. Since she was 5 years old I figured she would forget about it. When she didn't get it for Christmas and then the Easter bunny didn't bring it she was upset. So, for her 6th birthday she finally got a barn with some animals. The structure is strong and animals are fine. She really likes playing with it and adding all her other animals and horses to her farm too. I was slightly disappointed that it didn't have more gates or moving parts (locks even). It is really neat and I would recommend it. It only took about a week to get it too. My daughter loves it and that's what is most important.

The sizes listed for this unicorn are incorrect. The actual measurements (of the toy without the box) are 4"x6"x1.25". It is smaller than I expected. It is still a very nice toy. The mane and tail have glitter but it comes off rarely. The pink coloring on mine is less pronounced than in the picture. The plastic is firm and, maybe except for the horn, would be hard to break. The molding is fine quality detail for a plastic toy. I think most children would enjoy it, if they like this kind of thing.
