The twins (age 4) LOVE these little firemen. They spend many hours making up stories about them and manipulating them. Great fun. I love the fact that their names are on the bottom of their feet. One caution: be careful of tiny parts if there are younger children around.

My son received this as a gift when he was around 14 months old (he is two now) and he STILL plays with it every day. We have collected several of the Playtown people and he absolutely loves them. This toy reminds me of the now "vintage" fisher price little people because of it's great, simple details and it's solid durability. This is a great toy and will be for years upon years to come. The sounds of the bus are cool (way less annoying than other similar buses). The only downside is the doors on the bus are a little difficult to open but as the child grows they are easier and makes for a more durable toy.

These are perfect for the Melissa and Doug Folding Horse Stable. I wish they had a wider selection of the same type. There are very few inexpensive horses that are the right size for that stable.

Calico Critters Playtable

We bought this for my daughter's 3rd birthday. It's just the right height. My 5-year-old likes to play with her and her Critter families on the table. It's great to get the house and everything else off the floor. There's a drawer that can hold stuff. Ideally, dividers in the drawer would be nice, not to mention an additional drawer underneath, but then it would get more expensive. I also wish it were a little less heavy so it could be toted up and down the stairs, but it's weight contributes to its sturdiness and I'm over it.

This is cute and holds enough stuff to keep my little ones occupied.

MLB New York Yankees - Mr. Potato Head

We used to play with Mr. Potato Head all the time as little kids, so this tickled my die-hard Yankee fan brother to death when I got it for his birthday. Great product!

Fisher Price Preschool Amazing Animals Circus

I am telling people not to buy this toy. Like some of the other reviewers have mentioned, this toy causes injuries. My Daughter has scratched herself on it several times, and so have I. She also never played with it. Also, It is a VERY boring toy. With the money I paid for it, I expected more. I just try to sell it at a Garage Sale for $1, and I couldn't get rid of it. I ended up throwing it away, instead of donating it to Salvation Army with the other stuff I donated. You're better pff purchasing something else a little safer, and a little more fun.

Doctor Who - The Master's Laser Screwdriver

The Master's Laser screwdriver is a more problematic toy than the Doctor's sonic screwdriver. While the latter is a tool, this is essentially a gun. Thus, the morality of game play with this toy is different from the seemingly similar "sonic", a distinction which will not be lost on the show's young impressionable fans.

Although accurately made, and with some good sound effects, the operation of the laser screwdriver is somewhat clumsy, involving turning in one axis and rotating in another, as well as operating a switch. This mechanism is frustrating for younger children and even for adults! It resulted in ours ceasing to function after a few weeks' play.
