For the last few years at the big-box retailers, model railways have been stocked as a niche item or an occasional product with minimal interest. Sometimes only a few of them on an end-cap, like an afterthought.

With TrackMaster's Thomas Adventure collection all of this quickly changed.

For the last four days, I've been stuck model railroading with my eighteen month old son, Fox. I first purchased him the Sodor Adventure set, quickly assembled it with no trouble and became hooked. Both of us laid there on the carpet, mesmerized watching the little blue engine continually circling the track.

I sent this toy to my 4 year old nephew for his birthday. He loved it! my brother said that everyday he took him to school he had to pick one out and hold it during the ride to school. My brother told me the little trees are a nice touch, and the mountain part is nice because you can throw all the dinosaurs in the back for easy pick up.

Advent Calendar, Unicorn Paradise - #4154 by Playmobil

My daughter loves this advent calendar and can't wait to open a box every day. I agree with the other reviewer that it took some time to assemble (1 hour), but it's so worth it. I chose this one over the other ones at Anderson's Bookshop because it had a "girly" quality and she's so into unicorns and princesses. A great way to count down until Christmas!

Tonka Mighty Motorized Fire Engine with Figure

Bought this toy for my 2 1/2 yr-old Grandchild, and even if he doesn't seem to be a "destructive" type of boy, he did handle it with no restrictions. In spite of that, the truck works OK, and the ladder is intact.
I liked the fact that there are several choices for the electronics. Siren sounds, messages, etc
The fireman figure received a good deal of handling, but remains in one piece.
I recommend this truck for any kid 3 or more year-old.

The product was good, and Amazon's customer service great. But we've had the toy for about a month now and it seems there are some glitches. Perhaps it is the batteries, but this soon?

Playskool Weebles Goldilocks/ Adventure Cottage

Why is it so hard to find Weebles playsets these days? My daughter loved them, and still has one surviving Weeble from her childhood, so naturally, I looked for some for my granddaughter. This was one of only three or four playsets I could find, and am I ever glad I bought it! My granddaughter got many toys for Christmas last year, and this is the only one she is still playing with almost every single day. She is now making up stories for the Weebles to act out, and using them to enact little "morality" lessons for her other dolls. The simplicity of Weebles allows them to assume many parts in the play of children, and their usefulness cannot be denied - I wish they were more readily available. They are colorful, sturdy, and most of all - fun!

i love this woody doll i boughtt his for my 2 year old sn we are huge fans of toy story and it is just like th woody of of the movie ! the body is canvas and his head hat hands and booots are all plastic it even says andy under the boot i love this product

My 4 year old likes fairies and loves little houses. I had the tinkerbell tea pot house already, so i got this to go with it. it kept going down in price which is great. the tea pot house is actually nicer and more fun, cuter, but this one is ok. i dont know about parts breaking, it is all just goofy clip on stuff and pieces. the wings do come off the tink doll easily, we just rip them off right away for that reason, haha.

the laughing is annoying but you can turn it off, and my 4 yo knows how and since it is in her room it is her issue.
