Like the other plan city items, this is well built, colorful, and provides for some neat interaction for the little ones. It has multiple "integration" points to bring your wooden train & wooden roadway worlds together, including an elevated section along the back that can either serve as a railroad bridge or a road bridge (& gives access to the second level!). Includes some little extras... tables, ATM, desk, a few people, etc.
We're glad we bought it, as it's fun for everyone, but we don't use it all the time in our "setup"... it's just too big. We still try to contain our little wooden world to a train table (& we have a big one... 3x5... most are only 3x4), and working this into some simple road & track ... Read More:

I actually bought this as a surprise for my little grandson. He saw one in the gift shop at Georgia Aquarium. He didn't buy it and really wanted one. I phoned the aquarium but they were sold completely out. I was lucky to find it on Amazon. We've had sooo much fun. Goes forever with a little bit of powder. Nice to have simple toys. Sandie

My son loves to play with building dough and he loves Dizzy and the truck to haul the dough and the building to stick it on, but the 'Fix & Mix Factory Playset' is not well designed. Firstly the handle to extrude the dough is very short making it very hard to extrude the dough...mommy has to do it (and it takes mommy two hands). Secondly it has a high center of gravity and with the large force you have to exert to extrude the dough you have to be careful you do not knock it over. Thirdly the elevator sticks so you have to hit it (or yank it) to make it move, again mommy has to move it. Fourthly there is not a lot of dough in the containers, we mixed all of ours together and made brown and it all fits in one container.

Our boys, now ages 2 and 4 still love this toy and we still have to set the timer for them to take turns with it. We purchased it for our then 3 yr. old last Christmas and the other one was only 1 still, so at that time he didn't really use it. Anyway....our 4 yr. old has played with this inside and outside. He is very big for his age and "all-boy" as they say, so this tractor has taken a beating. He would run it really fast all around our blacktopped driveway with the metal scoop up. The problem was, sometimes the scoop would fall and start scraping, or it would jar him so much he'd crash over the tractor. The biggest danger is when the metal scoop is up like that, and he would push it, the tractor would sometimes flip up and he'd hit ... Read More:
