Again, Melissa and Doug make a great toy.
My 22 month old recieved it as a gift and I thought she might not think too much of it. I was very wrong, she loves to take the caps off and "snap" them on according to color and pretend to pour or drink from them.

The colors are brighter then the picture shows, and it a great tool for learning them all. The magnets are very stuck in place, and sturdy, does not look like anything will be able to get them out. (I tested it) and the wooden set is very durable.
I have to give this 5 stars for a well put together set.

We have this track and just so you know it is only 8 feet
NoT 14 feet of track like it says in the description
Overall seems pretty durable compared to other tracks we have.
The kids really like this set because it is so different than the other trains they have.

Little boys like trains. I am sure that little girls do, but I have not met a boy who does not.

My son has severe autism, so has certain obsessions. Trains are one of them. He likes train videos, push trains, pull trains, train pictures and real trains. In fact, his whole room is decorated with trains.

He really loves Thomas though. I cannot see the reason myself, since thomas has that mask of a face, does not move his mouth when he talks, and his eyes almost never look directly at whatever train or person is the object of his conversation.

But then I realized that Thomas is very like my son, without the behaviour issues.

This thing cannot hover in one place without spinning. The trim is located on the heli so you cannot adjust it while flying. In other words it's adjust, fly, land, and repeat until you get close. Also this thing flies anywhere it wants, you cannot control where it goes. You can only control direction of rotation and up/down. This is especially bad because you cannot fly this indoors because it's erratic, but you cannot fly it outside either because a little wind causes it to drift out of the range of your transmitter

Mine lasted for a couple weeks then the tail motor died so it could not be flown anymore without spinning out of control. The only good thing about it is it's very durable and it charges in only 3 hrs while giving you ... Read More:

Pixar Cars Movie Moments: Mia & Tia

The twins are, by far, my favorite of my son's collection. They are so cute together! Tia did get dropped from the kitchen counter and suffered minor rear bumper damage which was disappointing. My 4 year old has been quite rough with the others as well, but none has sustained damage as Tia has, oh well.

I-Play Sandmill Dumptruck Set

I got this for my toddler for a trip to California this spring. The handle on the pail that turns to make the sand go through was a neat idea, and a couple of older children at the park found it incredibly interesting. However, one of the pieces came off the day we got it. Then my son broke the red part of the truck off its base, so we ended up tossing the truck.

It's a shame how far from the old Tonka metal toys this line of toys has come. Honestly this thing isn't worth the 3 stars that I gave it. Tonka toys use to closely resemble the real machine but this thing is just awful. It cheap plastic and the arms are incredibly filmsy. When we put it into my son's toybox, it came back out all warped up where something else had been sitting on it. You can't even use it now.

We bought the whole line of Tonka Wheel Driver's at Christmas and have been disappointed with everyone of them. There are other better Tonka toys out there.

This toy is just okay. It does not seem as durable as the monster jam trucks usually are. However, my 3 1/2 year old son can operate it fine. I also bought one as a gift for an older boy, however, this toy should really be for the young crowd. It is also small.
