I got this train for my son's 2nd birthday and he loves it! The stickers that came with the train to personalize the truck were easy to apply and have been very durable. The train and truck are very well made and very festive. The doors on the truck slide back to reveal presents. This is one of the best Thomas purchases we have made.

I got this for my then 21 month old. I thought he would like the airplane. He hasn't played with them much, maybe when he is older he will like them better.

Again, Melissa and Doug make a great toy.
My 22 month old recieved it as a gift and I thought she might not think too much of it. I was very wrong, she loves to take the caps off and "snap" them on according to color and pretend to pour or drink from them.

The colors are brighter then the picture shows, and it a great tool for learning them all. The magnets are very stuck in place, and sturdy, does not look like anything will be able to get them out. (I tested it) and the wooden set is very durable.
I have to give this 5 stars for a well put together set.

Very cool. They are filled with liquid but so far neither my 2 year old nor my 4 year old has had any success with smashing them open.

My son saw this before Christmas and the Tonka Tow Truck but this one was what he wanted. He has a great time with it, and it functions as a dump truck as well. I think it's a fun item.

BRIO My First Railway 15-pc. Set

I bought this for my two and a half year old boy because he likes to play with cars. He didn't take to this train at all. But he's probably just not ready for it...has a little trouble keeping it on the tracks. I was impressed with the quality, and the magnetic cars stay together pretty well. Although, I expected it to be a tiny bit larger in size. I wouldn't pay $20 for it again...I'd say it's worth more like $15. We're hoping he starts playing with it.

Sea Master RMS Titanic Action

Boat is exactly as advertised. The body is solid and holds up well in the bathtub. Propeller is a bit thin and fragile, so not good for more rambunctious kids. Only had it a few weeks, but it has been used with the engine on more than half a dozen times in the tub, so...so far, so good.

I only put three stars for durability because from past experience with toys with little parts and battery operated engines, they only last so long. This one could prove me wrong, as ya' never know until you know.

And as far as educational value, there isn't much of that, so buy a book on the Titanic to go along with it. Try "Inside the Titanic (A Giant Cutaway Book)" -- it is a very cool book with great pictures, is quite large, and ... Read More:

Tonka Toughest Mighty Loader

This is made with the same quality as all of Tonka's trucks. The description is a bit misleading though. It is made out of plastic, more than metal and suitable to a younger child. We will be returning it (it was to be for our 5-yr.-old's xmas present)and finding him a bulldozer that is more age appropriate. But it would be fabulous for a three-year old!
