I have had this video for a while, and love watching it again and again...I just wish that this particular Reunion was available on DVD. I have searched relentlessly, to no avail. Does anyone know who to contact? My home library is almost exclusively DVD, and now with the newer DVD technology, HD and the like, VHS is so dreary, such a retro format. I know it's just a minor gripe, but if anyone knows where to get this on DVD, please post here!!! An Absolutely Wonderful Show!!!

I THOUGHT THIS WAS AN EXCELLENT PORTRAYAL OF POLITICS IN THE USA. ALAN ALDA WAS EXCELLENT AS ALWAYS BUT BARBARA HARRIS'S PERFORMANCE WAS TRULY
MAGNIFICENT. IF YOU LIKE MOVIES ABOUT POLITICS THIS WILL SUIT YOUR
FANCY.

This very Seventies, post-Rosemary's Baby (1968) horror thriller is remembered fondly by many viewers for its dated aspects. A pre-M.A.S.H. Alan Alda plays music journalist Myles Clarkson, whose own career as a pianist was earlier squelched by critical disdain. He lives modestly with his gorgeous wife (Jacqueline Bisset) and precocious child (perennial child star of the era, Pamela Ferdyn). Interviewing aging musical maestro Duncan Ely (Curt Jurgens), Alda is drawn into Ely's rich, sinister milieu that includes his far too young concubine Roxanne (an unforgettable Barbara Parkins, in perhaps her keynote role) and other wealthy Satanists. Alda returns to the piano with increased fervor following Jurgens' death, and has appeared to inherit his mentor's death supernaturally. ... Read More:

This lovely-to-look-at and amazing-to-listen-to film was a major departure from the typical angsty Allen film....and because of that, it's unappreciated....Amazingly, it's unavailable on DVD...I hope that changes soon!

Alan Alda plays a draft dodger who marries pregnant Jenny (Marlo Thomas) to avoid being drafted. Unfortunately he still seems to be more interested in his former friends and party lifestyle than in his new bride. Very funny in places, especially when he meets Jenny's parents. Jenny's father is a dentist and shows off his collection of teeth, which is extremely funny. It's very dry humor. Another great moment is when Jenny, feeling very alone and deserted by her new husband who is partying, goes to a bar. In the bar she meets a geeky creep (a plumbing salesman) who is in town on a business trip and is looking for some company. It's a great scene with the creep doing most of the talking and Jenny just listening. The music in the movie is great; I believe Nilsson sings the ... Read More:
